Why?

Would keep St Louis out, and we want as many A10 bids as possible.
was just about to say this. Bid stealers are bad for the A10 this year.

SLU is super bubblicious. Feel like they're either last team in or out. Leaning towards out.

I think they were a 9 seed based on games played or something weird like that. Cause they've had a better record than the last two teams they've played.

Georgetown looks good, Creighton looks horrible. Georgetown taking full advantage of the post season tournament opportunity.

Oregon State and Georgetown winning and getting auto bids eliminates the hopes of several bubble teams.

Will be interested if the NCAAT committee takes into consideration Covid pauses in bid selection.

Why?

Would keep St Louis out, and we want as many A10 bids as possible.
was just about to say this. Bid stealers are bad for the A10 this year.
The real bid stealers are teams like Syracuse who play nobody OOC and basically don’t leave the Carrier Done. Then barely break .500 in the ACC. Every year the same story. Then get in over a more deserving 2nd or 3rd team from a smaller conference that happened to get upset in their conference tournament.

Maryland is another team that doesn't deserve it....12-10 barely over .500...I don't care how tough your schedule is, you have to win games.

Perhaps I misread it, mixed their record with another team, or CBS made a mistake - I swear I saw 12-10 next to their name yesterday evening on the show. 16-13 isn't much better. A big win OOC nothing to speak of - beat Mt. St. Mary's who is only in the tourney as a 16 seed b/c they upset a couple of teams in their tourney. Nothing else of note OOC. In conference, big win against Illinois, split vs. Wisconsin. Split with Purdue. Not much else and also swept by Penn State and lost to Northwestern and Indiana. Yes, some big wins, but a couple of bad losses. They lost 13 out of 29 games. Not a great resume. Granted I did not compare them to either the first 4 out or any of the other teams that had a great season, but are now out because they were upset in their conference tournament. Teams like this shouldn't get an absurd amount more chances than that top team in a smaller conference.

That said I don't think SLU should have gotten in ahead. Neither of them deserve a bid. It seems that the 1, 2, and 3 bid leagues get more of a shaft from the bid stealers like Syracuse and Md. That is my take.

They were 4-10 in Quad 1 games and 3-3 in Quad 2. They definitely should have been in the field in my opinion. The Big10 was absolutely brutal this year.

Attached is Big 10 Comparison of record, NET, RPI, BPI, KenPom plus AP, CBS+1 and Coaches polls.

Bigger question than Maryland getting a bid is why did Michigan State get a bid?
Maryland beat Michigan State (68-57) in the 1st game of the B10 tournament, then Maryland lost to 1-seed Michigan

And why is Purdue NET 22 a 4-seed but Wisconsin NET 27, Maryland NET 35 and Rutgers NET 38 are seeded 9, 10, 10 respectively? Net, net the Big gap in seeds doesn’t make sense
