Well if we run our offense through Cyril and Dowtin we are okay.

Dowtin is the only guy whose made consecutive jumpshots all year

It is such a visible difference with Cyril on the floor vs off the floor, especially on defense but the offense also works better when he’s out there (plus he increases the chances of offensive rebounds and second chance points). I would stipulate that Jeff is our best player, but Cyril is no worse than 1B to Jeff’s 1A in terms of importance of him being on the floor. Crucial he starts the second half without picking up a 3rd foul right away.

Cannot keep settling for long attempts with plenty of time left on shot clock.

Foul variance hurting.

Decent crowd for no students on campus. Lots of families.

Second half about ready to tip. Need better effort.

Cyril was making Jermaine better there in the early going before those crap calls on him.

The freshman held there own for a little bit which I thought was nice to see, but that stony brook run was uglyyyyyyy.

Fatts needs to only drive from now on. Only shoot if hes wide open in transition.
You could say that to everyone right now.

I maybe feel okay with running a play for silverio because he has a pretty good stroke.

Come out with intensity and get it done! Stony Brook is tough.

Rhody came back when Jeff asserted himself offensively. His floaters in the lane are almost automatic.

Stony Brook 52% FG - no interior defense by Rhody.
URI 35% FG & 1-14 3PT - fell in love with three & missing open shots.
Need to drive more
Jeff needs to shoot more (only 4 points)
Need better D. Don’t go for a steal on every pass

Fatts tries for the steal and gives up a layup. Gets hurt. Motions to come out. Three possessions in a row he drives out of control and doesn’t come close. Got fouled on the last one. Such a lack of discipline for a D1 player.

At least we are already in the bonus.

Almost the double bonus.

Fatts has to start playing well at some point.

I mean he is just not good right now. He has to realize he cant just out quick everybody. Hes gotta be smart.

Not saying I need Hurley’s emotions on the sideline - but Cox has been way too passive. Absolutely no fire and the team is taking cues.

The refs today are just strange. URI didn't come to play but the way they're calling this is terrible. Im not mad it's not like they're robbing a URI team playing with any passion.

SB scores from two feet. URI misses from two feet.
At half URI had 6 TOs and 6 Ast. With 8 minutes left URI has 15 TOs and 6 Ast

Typically in a loss you can point to a few things that the team did well, in this case there is absolutely nothing you can take away as a positive in any way. Poor shooting, defense, decisions, coaching, energy, focus, etc....Cant rely on Dowtin every game to put the team on his shoulders, someone needs to step up until the freshman learn. We're getting absolutely punked on our own floor from a team from the America East, yes I know SB is a decent team, but this is just a brutal effort in every way. I considered making the 2.5 hour drive but glad I didnt. Whoever said we've been spoiled the last few years is absolutely correct, this is going to be a LONG season.

I’m just sad watching this

We really cannot shoot.

Fatts needs to give his 25 shots a game to dowtin and stop taking horrible shots early in the possession. I don’t care if he shoots after a few passes but this is horrible.

So many bad Fouls.

This team needs a whole new offense.

I love Fatts but was hoping for a rich man's Spud Webb not a poor man's Alan Iverson. I think this team could develop into an excellent fast break team. Dowtin and Fatts have the skills.

I can’t say that the offensive design has been otherworldly good, for sure, but shotmaking has been so bad it is hard for me to take much from this game as far as the coaching goes. Nobody could make anything, and it’s not like all the shots were bad shots. I mean you’re just not going to beat too many teams scoring 50 points, and you’re going to have a hard time scoring more than that when you shoot 34% from the floor and 5% (!) from three.
