Bobby's team certainly didn't have problems scoring.

Didn't play a lot of defense, but so what? They're in the Dance, and we're not.....

It's almost as if Bobby inherited a program that wasn't a minute away from sanctions, had an all conference level player plus a pretty full supporting roster, and a highly invested AD, who had already forced changes before he even got there. Most of the MAC hates him, though, so that's fun. Go Bulls!

Ace, most of the A10 hates Dan, and I'm sure Bob Sr. isn't too popular in the HS ranks.

It's a Hurley thing.

They are going to hate him [Dan] even more next season. Tough shit, eh?

I don't think it's quite the same. With the A10, you're talking about some fans, who don't really care to see the whole picture.

The opinions of fans matter little. Be concerned with your guys and the people you work with closely and maybe some of your same-job colleagues. The narratives will exist on their own anyway, with and without consideration of facts.

I wonder how the NCAA will treat the American Conference tournament final between SMU and UConn. SMU is in the field regardless of the outcome. The Huskies however are not deserving of an at large bid. The game is scheduled for 3:15 pm which should end, if decided in regulation, sometime between 5:15-5:30pm. I would have to think that there will have to be two scenarios, one if UConn wins and gets the automatic. and another should UConn lose. I would imagine that some team will be currently slotted as one of the last at larges and seeded according. They are in if UConn loses today. Out if UConn wins. Huskies get their seed if they make it.

This year the committee has to seed at least 72 teams because the first four out are going to be the one seeds in the NIT.

Yeah I am sure they will basically have two brackets ready, one with UConn and one without.

Great NCAA Story already.

Ryan Harrow (formerly at NC State, then starting PG at Kentucky) goes down to injury for today's Championship game for Georgia State.
Kevin Ware (Louisville grewsome NCAA Tournament leg injury) comes off the bench to start and leads the team with a game high 18 points, 5 rebounds.
No other player on either team even broke double figures in the 38-36 Final Score "shootout".
Ware goes back to the NCAA Tournament in style - good for him, what a storybook comeback

Props to VCU. 4 wins in 4 days. Graham is a warrior, amazing performance on a bad ankle.

I guess VCU got pissed after everybody counted them out.

UConn, if it's possible, is playing worse than they did yesterday, until they woke up with 4 minutes left.

20% shooting, and Boatright is 0-8 and no points.

Why do I get the feeling they'll still end up winning, and commit grand theft of an NCAA bid.

If not, maybe we'll see them in the NIT.

UConn loses at their 2nd home in Hartford to SMU today in the AAC Tournament. They will not get an NCAA at large bid. UConn has a record of 20-14 with an RPI of about 76. By most objective measurements, they should have a NIT seed worse than Rhody. Will be interesting to see if they get seeded on past reputation versus performance this season.

Same bracket with a potential RC matchup between husky dawgs and rams.....fill the bracket with cupcakes otherwise? Sniff sniff....a sellout? No brainer for the committee to set that one up!

They're both top-35 RPI teams who finished the season strong and finished as the top two teams in a good conference. Don't worry about them.

I am shocked that Dayton is in a play-in game (which is almost not fair to Boise). I wonder if we had beaten them yesterday if we'd have knocked them out of the field. Seems like it probably would have, which is really unfair, IMO.

On one hand, UCLA being seeded ahead of Dayton is a complete joke. On the other hand, if I were Dayton I'd be happy with my draw. Playing the play-in game in Dayton is an automatic W, and playing PC in their home state makes for a winnable first round game.

Unfortunately they won too much, sorry. Gotta follow the path of UCLA and lose more games next time.
