I'll be there and at Dagger John's for a beer or two an hour before the game. Fordham is one of the few Rhody games I can attend these days.

I saw them play Dayton earlier this year, they're not a very good team. It's incredible how much Severe has regressed this season. If we win by less than 8 I'll be disappointed.

I agree they aren't, but it's a road game and they always seem to play well against us at their place.

Plus, with EC out, our offense is even more limited. We have to play the same kind of D we have been, because who knows who will make shots for us. Gil and Hassan need to have big games.

If we limit Paschall, we should be OK. Still, we have to make our FT's and not turn the ball over a thousand times to win this.

Something we were terrible at, when we played them here.

I like Keaney Blue to go for like 10-12 points in this game and like 5-8 boards.

The last time we met Fordham they were riding somewhat of a hot streak (for Fordham standards). They were coming off a couple of wins and a decent effort against VCU, plus Jon Severe rejoined the team. URI played arguably it's worst game of the season. 18 turnovers, 1-14 from 3, and 50% from the line. Fordham shot nearly 50% from the field. The bad Rams seem to have regressed since our last meeting. The GW game was 12-0 before most of the fans took their seats and the final score of 79-59 actually makes the game look closer then it was.

I know Coach Hurley stresses the importance of conference games, however, I'd like to believe that our young team got caught overlooking Fordham in a sleepy, winter night at the Ryan. I expect a far better effort tonight even without EC. URI 70 Fordham 59.

If we score 70 without EC, that would be something.

The magic number for us, is 60. That should be enough as long as our D is on.

Ha! More like 4-6 points. Hence why I'm sitting at a desk and Kahiem is making the big bucks playing pro in Turkey!

Speaking of scorers, Chris Gaston from Fordham is averaging 21 pts/game in Israel

Does anyone have a trick for streaming the game onto my tv using Chromecast? I can stream Netflix fine, but when I tried to stream a game from an iPad, it wouldn't pass to the tv. Ironically, it was the Fordham game I couldn't go to due to the flu that I tried to stream before.

Very easy...just go to the link below and download the "Cast" app...it's an extension for your Chrome browser. It'll allow you to stream whatever is in your browser (like a game stream). I will be doing this tonight, have never attempted to stream live video but hoping it'll work well. Otherwise I'll just be hooking up the HDMI from the laptop to TV directly.

My guess is he won't play tonight. He will be a game-time decision every game for the rest of the a season. Only rest can help him at all; might as well get as much of it as he can when he can. Tonight I think he can.

Was watching a little No Carolina game Monday and commentators were saying Marcus Paige is suffering from same injury. As it has been said here, and I have had myself, they were very discomforting and basically the only cure for it is rest so Paige is going to have to play through some pain. Dan is going to have to pick his spots and rest him as much as he can when he can. I can't imagine him being at 100% as long as he has the injury, but hopefully its not too severe and it will improve as well as possible.

When I had plantar fasciitis, it wasn't only rest that corrected the problem, it was very extensive therapy - massaging the foot, applying heat and then cold, all done in a certain sequence for a duration of 30-45 minutes, every other day. Following that regimen I went from limping along to a full stride in less than two weeks. I am assuming that is what EC is getting from the URI conditioning staff.

Confused by the game notes.
What does Hassan have to do with Shaolin monks?
What does Mona Lisa Vito from Cousin Vinny, mentioned by
Bill Belichick last week, have anything to do with URI's defense?
Weird.

In NYC rap culture, Staten Island = Shaolin, because Wu Tang Clan the rap group was mainly from Staten Island and they were obsessed with Kung Fu movies, particularly (obviously) The Wu Tang, which was from the Shaolin Temple. I believe that reference is incorporated by Hassan.

Stupid! It seems like Pecora is making strides this year.
Bobby Hurley wouldn't take it for a variety of reasons -- and we all know reason #1.
There are other coaches or those on the rise who would grab it.
It would be a perfect fit for Skerry.
