Rough ending we had a couple of questionable calls that didn’t go our way and we blew a late lead and lost in OT

Patrick Beverly, the Clippers PG, had 16 rebounds, he seemed to be everywhere. Marcus Smart just (1-11) in threes, Louis Williams as usual was awesome off the bench for Clippers with 27, Tatum was great with 30. Fun game to watch.

Not sure if anyone's watching, but Kemba got injured and it didn't look good. He ran into Ojeleye, with his head down, went down like a sack of bricks and laid motionless for several minutes. They strapped him to a board and carted him off. Hopefully nothing more than a neck strain and/or concussion, but it looked bad.

eta:
Looks like maybe "just" concussion-like symptoms

The team seems to be enjoying themselves this year, compared to last. Ainge blamed himself for last year in an article I read the other day. All involved have taken the high road with Kyrie so who knows.

Can't lose to Philly. Embid finally figured out that shooting 3s all day as a center is pointless so now hes dominating in the post, just what the Celtics needed.

If he plays as well...all the better...two awesome dudes to watch.
You see highlights of these guys and they're awesome...but it's what you expect when you only see highlights.
Watching them in live game action...seems like the highlights come out of nowhere sometimes...much more entertaining, imo.

Don't get me wrong Luca is awesome. I love the way Dallas plays. There is a lot of excellent basketball played in the NBA now, and it's pretty wide open this year, with many teams that could win.

Kobe’s father Joe Jellybean Bryant played at LaSalle back in the 70’s. He played NBA too plus overseas in Italy where alone was born.

OK...so this is how old I am... when Trae Young (who must make Fatts laugh all the time) scored 50 tonight for the Hawks...it "reminded me of the time" when my sister and I were in Atlanta and saw John Drew score 50 against Denver (David Thompson 21, George McGinnis 18).

Not sure where to put this ....

Westerly 2nd grader tested positive for Covid 19. He got an autograph from Rudy Gobert at a Jazz-Celtics game a couple of weeks ago. Just shows how easy it is to transmit. I also wonder how many autographs Gobert has done over the past couple of weeks.

I get that it's hard to care about anything but the C's from around here - if you care at all about NBA even. But...this Luka Doncic guy is great to watch and might actually be pretty good. My brother texted me after Q3 (I wasn't watching - weather related - too nice to be inside), "are you watching Luka Bird?" I saw Q4 and OT on DVR...43 points and the buzzer beater 3 to win...plus 17 boards and 13 assists 'just to stay in shape'. Interesting to see someone that slow non-fast, almost always get his defender behind him when he wants to.

100% agree NYG. Almost definitely the next generational, all-time great NBA player. What he’s doing at 21 years old is basically unprecedented (and is as good of an argument for the Euro model of club development as there is, which I have to say is the superior model even though it would kill our beloved college hoops).

Can anyone that watches a lot of Celtics games explain to me in what way Brad Wannamaker is a better basketball player than Jared Terrell? I watch a lot of Celtics and I don’t see it at all...I honestly think it is absurd he is getting playoff minutes on a good team and Jared is playing pickup games.

Tatum also with a team high 42 minutes played, team high 6 assists plus an efficient 8-17 FG and 4-7 on 3’s

Marcus Smart was 2nd in minutes with 39. 6-13 FG and a great 6-11 on 3’s!!

Smart has steadily improved his shooting proficiency. Having his best FT year at 83.6% of his 6 year career. Smart is 94.4% FTs in the playoffs and 37.1% on 3’s. Admire the work he has done on his shooting proficiency.

Celtics went up on Toronto 2-0, then lost that heartbreaking Game 3 on the 3 point shot with .5 seconds left on the clock, then Celtics lost Game 4, so Game 5 tonight was huge!
Celtics could have folded but played fantastic dominating 111-89!!

Loved how Brad Stevens left the starters in until only 3.5 minutes remained in the game. At that time only Brad Wanamaker had scored any points for the Celtics Bench. Wanamaker player great off the bench with 28 minutes played (only Celtic bench player with more than 9 minutes). Wanamaker went 5-9 FG, 3-5 on 3FG, 2-2 FT, 3 Reb, 2 assists, 1 steal, no TOs for 15 points. Only Grant Williams scored off the bench besides Wanamaker and that was late in the game.

All 5 starters were solid both offensively and defensively. Theis was solid with 5-5 FG, 5-6 FT, 8 Reb, team high 2 blocks and 15 points.

Can't wait to see if the Celtics can close out this series Wednesday Night at 6:40pm
