I mean, I don't want to name names, but we've had plenty of players who could barely get minutes here transfer down. It's way more odd when it doesn't happen - in those cases, I normally assume that the player has horrible academics, or has a life situation issue preventing them from playing college ball.
Sure when we are decent and kids can’t get in the floor because good players are in front of them then it happens that way. But in this case most of these kids got minutes and didn’t produce. Or if they didn’t get minutes on a team this bad, what does that say to potential new schools? I’m not saying we won’t have transfers, I just don’t think they will be coveted with suitors lining up.

We aren’t even half way through March yet. There will be plenty of players on URI that transfer before this is over. No chance Archie runs it back with this group. None. I mean everybody also talks about Foumena and we are good down low with him, but we have never seen him play. The only sure thing on this roster is Ish. No way Archie doesn’t make changes. The freshman could be better than this year, but that won’t be enough to move the needle substantially.

Yeah, I really couldn't tell you how good Foumena is. I'm just hoping he is better than the group we had shuffling through there this year.

Has SK native K Records indicated he’s portal playing? We better be on him if he is!

Probably need Colgate knocked out first of course…

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Whether visits are official or not, what's important is a commit lol.

Now keeping a commitment, that's another thing altogether..

None of the players have had their exit meeting yet. Some are on spring break now. We probably won't hear anything until next week.
I had assumed the exit meetings already took place where they would have been back on campus Tuesday night or Wednesday morning at the latest. Gives you Wednesday through Friday to have those meetings before spring break
Ya, I had heard he was meeting with them early this week. I asked around and multiple people confirmed they have not had their meeting yet. IDK if that's the same for everyone but I"m assuming so since we haven't heard anything
I think Archie is still in shock at how bad this team was and doesn't feel quite ready to return to the scene of the accident.

I do believe the early signing period for 24 recruits is October. That's for freshman recruits.
April is the late signing period for the '23s.
Yeah, I'm not concerned with that. I want to see who we sign in October for 24's.
The early signing period for 24-25 starts on Nov. 6 and runs for a week.

As previously stated, very doubtful Archie signs any recruits in April for '23 unless of course someone really special falls on his lap.

No doubt Archie or any of us want most of this team back, but based on how they played and on a lousy team their options may be limited and that may explain why nobody is in the portal yet. Archie may need to Briz someone or more than one.

All of this is literally why Archie gets the big bucks.

I try to stay positive with my posts but I need to keep it real. I’m not sure what a lot of you have been watching for the last 4 months, but we don’t have any hot commodities on this team. Phones aren’t ringing off the hook for them. All I can say is that we have a handful of nice pieces. The off-season is just beginning, so speculating on a daily basis on who’s staying and who’s going is kind of crazy. Long way to go establishing next years roster.

Absolutely. It's great that no one wants to leave the team, one big happy family. Which means, maybe one person leaves of their own doing, and a couple of people might need to get Brizzed.

Speaking of Briz, imagine going through life having your name synonymous with getting the shaft?

The original Brizz, found in the online urban dictionary:

https://www.urbandictionary.com/author. ... JAM%20Mike

Don't forget, URI originally signed Leon Brisport, only for him to decide right before the season to go to PC instead.

For bonus KeaneyBlue points, who was the coach that did the very first brizzing? Was it Tim Welsh?

You beat me to posting him Smarty.
He is someone I would be excited about.
At 6'9" he can really stretch it and has 2-years eligibility.
He averaged over 11 pts (39% 3PT) and almost 7 rebs.

Watched O’Neill quite a bit this year. He’s a more agile and athletic Rory. Really lean frame so not sure how much rebounding will translate at A10 level but def a plus 3pt shooter with good size.

Is Jaquan really a take though?

I did watch his film against Xavier where he scored 11. He definitely has a nice looking shot. Seems like Brandon Weston 2.0 without the athleticism.

Pretty average #s for Jackson. Would want more production from a grad transfer.

Not better than Ish lol

Not sure if he's better than Weston or if he will be better

I think he could be good here, I would just hope if he does come here we still land a more established guy along with him at guard.

Surprised I haven't seen us linked to Evan Taylor yet.
He is a step up from Conway, Wilcox, and several others mentioned.
I know he is getting P6 interest and Wisconsin is heavily in the mix right now.

Probably no chance but wouldn't be surprised if KJ makes a run at him, since he is from the DC area.

2 years eligibility left, averaged 11.5 pts in his 3 years at Butler.
He was a consensus 4* and was also on the All-BE Freshman Team 20-21.

Getting experienced transfers and/or developing quality juniors and seniors is the new path to success.
