All good games tonight, particularly UConn vs Ark and UCLA vs Gonzaga.

I expect the UConn and Ark game to be hard nosed and physical. I think the UCLA and Gonzaga game could be a track meet. I give UConn and UCLA the edge but it wouldn’t shock me if both lose.

I could see UConn pulling away from Arkansas late. I think Arkansas will struggle on offense a against UConn's defense.

Gonzaga UCLA will almost certainly be another classic.

Makhel could probably hang in there with Sanogo a bit, he'd rack up fouls real quick

K-State wins 98-93

Nowell sets the NCAAT record with 19 assists.

K-State preseason picked last in the B12, going to the Elite 8.
Tang maybe NCOY.

UConn is peaking. They are big and deep, and when Hawkins is on, crazy offense. They could do it.

Good for Dan. And fuck.

UConn has certainly played like a team who can win it all, hitting on all cylinders right now. They've had a pretty nice road to the EE so far. Iona was only going to stay with them for a half and St Mary's was by far the weakest 5 seed, then getting an 8 seed in Ark. Not to say they wouldn't have beaten Kansas, but so far they've beat the teams they've been expected to beat. Good for Dan, he's certainly improved as a coach to match his recruiting abilities.

Gonzaga vs. UCLA is pretty fun to watch through eight minutes. Quick pace, efficient offenses, very impressive.

Rick Barnes waits for FAU to make a 15-2 run before he calls a timeout

He is a HORRIBLE game coach

If Bona is out again UCLA will has big issues inside against UCONN. If he does I think they can beat UConn . But they gotta win tonight first.

It was ridiculous for Lunardi to do this and it means absolutely nothing obviously, but he predicted the top 16 seeded teams and had FAU as a 4 seed in 2024.

If I was a P5 coach, I wouldn’t go nuts recruiting this year. Instead, I would just offer the FAU players a package NIL deal they couldn’t refuse to come play for me next season. What the heck; there’s more than one way to skin a cat. ;)

UConn has three players, including Adama Sanogo, who are fasting for Ramadan. I’m not religious at all, but I admire their commitment.

I’m very happy for Jalen Gaffney and FAU, too. What a great run for them.

Looks like all 4 one seeds will be gone after tonight. When’s the last time there wasn’t a 1 seed in the Elite 8, if ever?
