My bad. He does play throughout the season, but not much in close games. Not a major player off the bench. They played a 36 game season.
Do we know for sure he is visiting this week or that we have even offered him?

If so and he does enroll at least he will give us another strong body in the paint.
I wouldn't expect a big impact or much offensive contribution from him.
He is on campus right now. Posted a video of the Ryan Center on his Instagram story. His account is @almighty_dou.
This post may not age well, but with all the silence, I guess Traore's visit was uneventful.
Thinking it may have been an unofficial.

Yeah he was a strong body, but as I said before I doubt he would have been much of an impact player.
I did find it a bit unusual that he attended 3 different JUCOs: Holmes CC, Allen CC, and Chipola.
I also read he signed with Niagara in 2019, but never enrolled.

With having KC in the fold, he wasn't a necessity.

Besides as of now, with only spot open for 23-24 (Martin's), it looks like Archie is prioritizing guards for that class.
Again as we are all well aware that situation can change very quickly with all the portal activity.

Regarding the silence, 77, I think just the opposite due to the staff’s nature of stealth recruiting. 8-) Run silent, run deep.

That said, I have no preference as to the player other than trusting what Archie ultimately decides.

I mentioned this kid before. He and his twin brother play for Orangeville. Some of the videos of him are spectacular. 6'7" guard with elite athleticism.

B78 yes you did.

Glad we are on him early because this kid's recruitment will really blowup.

Hopefully Woodward can reel him in, his relationship with Orangeville is paying dividends.

Another '23 recruit (listed in 247), he is a 6'7" SF/wing from Va, (probably a KJ recruit).

Archie still seems to be recruiting hard for '23 (especially at guard/wing) and we have no current openings.

With the recent addition of Alex, I wonder what the current status of KC is, or is the staff anticipating some transfers after this season.
Ramster I know you probably think there will be some prior to the start of 22-23.

Here's a list of offers we have out to 23s and 24s. There are 28 of them. A couple, like Hansberry, were from Cox, but most are from the current staff.

It's gotta be tough for HS recruits. Before they could wait and wander around. With the unlimited transfer portal, HS recruits need to just get a school.

Boston College in his Top 5

Power talks top five
Duke: “I think I really fit the mold of the players Coach (Jon) Scheyer is recruiting. Unselfish players who can score and who all prioritize winning. The culture there would fit me great. Being able to play on the biggest stage is something I’ve always wanted.”

North Carolina: “Coach (Hubert) Davis explained to me how I can use my versatility to do different things in their offense and contribute early in a big way. The opportunity to do that at a place as historic and successful as UNC is very important to me. They play at a fast pace and I just think my game could add to their explosiveness.”

Virginia: “Coach (Tony) Bennett and I are all about the same stuff. I’m really impressed with their player development and the winning brand there. I love the discipline they have on both ends of the floor and how efficient they are.”

Iowa: “Coach (Fran) McCaffery gives a lot of confidence to his players and they play a style I think would really enhance my game. The success they have had developing players into productive NBA players is intriguing to me.”

Boston College: “Staying home and playing for Coach Grant would be a special experience. I could be a part of a young core that contributes to a program on the rise. I love the momentum around there and understand the value of having success so close to home.”

Not sure of how serious the interest on either side.
4* Ty-Laur Johnson is probably the best pure point guard in NJ.
Plenty of BE interest: SH, St. John's, Creighton, Xavier, DePaul, plus Arizona State and Pitt, also VCU.

I think he ends up at Pitt. Capel has been recruiting him hard from day 1.

Rhody offered 2025 Jack Bailey. But that’s not the important part of the tweet. “ Should be a good week for #Rhody” Slater hinting at a commitment.

Many good coaches in the conference currently. I hope (expect?) they push each other to get better and better so that the A10 is consistently a top 10 to a top 7 bb conference with 5-6 tourney bid contenders (not talking tourney selections) chasing bids every year.

That’s a tough nut to crack but would sure give us all a lot of great basketball to watch and discuss.

ESPN rankings have always been questionable, but lately they’ve managed to get even worse. 247 just released their updated 2023 rankings, but some of the composite scores are so off because ESPN can’t get it together.
