I caught the second half when Steve was talking to the seniors.
Sounded like a great time.
What did I miss in the first half?
Did they take questions from the audience?
Was it a big crowd?

Great crowd. Great time, except for one idiot who tried to disrupt the proceedings. He got tossed toward the end of the show.

Got to meet and talk for quite a while with ATP and his wife. Nice people.

Same with Thorr, Daryle Jasper, Steve, Don, Dan and others. Very upbeat.

Also, 1st half of show, TJ was on, 2nd half Gil. Lots of laughs.

The guy that got tossed tonight, evidently has a history of heckling at our shows. First time I've seen him though.

Kind of brings me back to my days as a bouncer at the Bon Vue in the mid 70's. In those days, when someone acted up, we asked them to leave. Once.

if they didn't cooperate, they were dragged out into the parking lot, and got the crap beaten out of them.

Ah, the good old days..... :)

I believe you're referring to me... I'm no ones wife. Anyway, I was a catalyst to getting the distruptive idiot to leave. I'd prefer ATP to post his insight on this, but I recall someone saying that Dan needs a "pope mobile" after this one.

What the hell was going on with the idiot? Like a protester of some sort, or a typical PC fan or a mentally disturbed person? (Not that you could differentiate between the latter two.)

I don't know what to make of "an idiot trying to disrupt the proceedings." What was he/she doing?

Yes, I was telling you who I was but you didn't hear me I guess.

Long story short I texted another member of this board to see if he knew who the culprit was. This guy yelling at the show was being ridiculous. Just a sad story. I want ATP to give his to down of what happened first. Needless to say I could have a future in security haha

Re: Dan Hurley Coach's Show

Here's what happened...
I guess he has gone to a few coaches show in the past (Providence Coal Fire Pizza and Dave's from what I heard). He was mouthing off the entire time. When TJ was being interviewed this guy kept yelling out "Cuttino Mobley! Cuttino Mobley!"... I had enough, so I went up to him and said... Can you please be quiet you're very rude and disrespectful to the people who are speaking right now. Then he says, "URI hasn't been in the NCAAS blah blah blah".. So I said, that's it you really need to leave because you're rude. He then steps by me and charges towards the table where Steve, Dan, and TJ were-- I tried to pull his arm back (he prob had ~100lbs on me) and he places a piece of paper on the table (I think).

Dan had a shocked look on his face, and Steve later told me he tried to keep what he was saying going to not have TJ deal with the awkward part. At this point I really had no idea what this guy was going to do.. try to flip over the table or something even worse. The Mews typically doesn't have security on until 8PM, and this being a Monday night with a bunch of URI fans I am sure they didn't think that anyone was going to act out like this.

The crazy guy walks down the stairs of the Mews yelling "This place will NEVER be Federal Hill!"

My hands were shaking for a good 5-10 minutes after this.

It was amazing how Taylor stepped in and ushered this lunatic away from the table and towards the stairs. George from the Mews and Mike Laprey both quickly got up and helped the guy find his way out of the place.

It was very tense for me before this whole thing happened cuz that idiot was so on-edge the way he was constantly swaying and barking out crazy shit towards the middle of the Irish Pub area upstairs. I found myself keeping one eye on him the whole time. He came by to tell me something and I quickly cut him off and said nobody wants to hear what you think. It didn't stop him cuz a few minutes later Taylor's sequence of events commenced.

I feel like maybe someone needs to keep an eye on this guy generally before he lights up a mall or something. What is being described here does not sound like normal human behavior.

Yeah he was also yelling "Dan to Seton Hall!" earlier in the show.

He obviously knows a little about our program, but he's also missing a couple of lug nuts.

I said to him once, "are you a PC mole?"

I've been to a few gatherings in my day, where shall we say someone got a little too whacked and got out of hand.

Didn't expect it to happen at a Rhody BB event, though.

The guy wasn't drunk however. He didn't need to be.

Update on a possible added show:

Only happens if we Dance. Better chance if a Friday start too, versus Thursday.

Would be at Dan's Place in WG.

Monday night's Coach's show at The Mews Tavern in MP3 format:

By the way, at about the 31 minute mark you will hear some shouting which was when Taylor threw that loser out of the Mews.

Hopefully Dan is giving his "Woe is us" speech about Saturday night.

Try to make PC take us lightly.

Of course, Cooley is no dummy either. He knows that if his team comes into the Ryan and doesn't play well, he's going home with an L.

Stranger things have happened in this rivalry over the years....

It was one of the tougher ones to listen to on the radio because of all the background noise.
