Cue only synchs when the intro song it synchs to is on. A troubleshoot at the entrance wouldn’t work.phipsiGD'11 wrote: ↑4 years ago They should have a table at the entrance and they troubleshoot your cue app for you so it will work.
Other than that it’s some kind of test environment that I’ve gotten to work at my home. I have only gotten it to work twice this entire season at a game. I am MacGyver when it comes to these things. It’s not user error, at least for me and most posting about it here since I know a lot of them personally who have said it doesn’t work.
Whomever signed the contract for this needs a refund from CUE.

Before getting things like WiFi, replays, and beer in seats, how about we go back to basics and tweet out a picture with the correct ranking of Dayton / less blurry. Holy hell this is embarrassing.

You also have to realize it was a marketing intern for the Ryan Center, not Rhody Athletics who would have tweeted that older graphic. How about being productive and tweeting at them to make them realize their mistake? I can do it if you want!

I forgot to mention that I got a new phone because I broke my old one and cue app worked for St Louis! Idk what I did but I was one of the maybe 50 people it worked for.

Re: Ryan Center In-Game Experience - Issues and Upgrades
Funny, but sad story from the concession stand. Bought a popcorn for $4.25 and handed the young lady a $10. She started by putting the $10 in the drawer and taking out a $5, four singles, and 4 quarters. She then put one quarter back in the drawer and handed me $9.75 change. I said you made an error and she started to take the $5 back. I gave her the four singles and put .75c in the tip jar. She stared at me with a dazed look, and I said "you're all set". I don't remember having that much trouble in 3rd grade and that was over 65 years ago. No wonder the lines take so long.

That’s a nice way to say “even our film room has to be multipurpose so it’s not exclusive to team use”

I get what youre saying but cmon. Is there really a need for the film room and press room to be separate? They are never likely to be in use at the same time.

Re: Ryan Center In-Game Experience - Issues and Upgrades
Of course not. Just another one of those "things" when you're recruiting. Players just don't have their own "space" at URI - minus the front part of the locker room. They share everything else - training rooms, media room, workout facility, and practice court - with other teams, student athletes, etc.
The teams we are competing with for talent - both in our conference and in the region (PC, BC, UMass, UConn, Dayton, VCU, Davidson, Richmond, St Louis, George Mason, Duquesne) all have those facilities to recruit with.
The Ryan Center goes wasted without the other investments around it.

Yeah I had to laugh when I saw that tweet the other night. Its only nice because we can't give the players their own space like every other real program in the country. I almost posted about it then, but had enough embarrassment for the night already.

You're right that in the grand scheme of things this isn't the end of the world and by itself is a small issue, but the problem for me is that its a small piece of a larger puzzle that shows we are not investing enough in our program.

Mullins Center Saturday Night
- Wi-Fi worked perfectly all night
- Cell phone reception no issues
- 3 live video boards To watch the game from
- Replays shown frequently on all 3 video displays
- Even potentially controversial calls were replayed

Yes. Beer. And you can bring the beer to your seats.RI_Bred wrote: ↑4 years agoBeer?ramster wrote: ↑4 years ago Mullins Center Saturday Night

Mullins Center is on Campus just like the Ryan Center
Public University.

We are really ass backwards with our fan experience. Plus the Mullins Center is nowhere near as nice of a facility as the Ryan Center.
And you don’t have to buy your beer behind a curtain either.
You just buy the beer. You then take the beer to your seat. And they even have cup holders in your seats to hold your beer or other drink.

You just but it. Take to your seat. And they even have cup holders in your seats to hold your beer or bottle.
I specifically bought a drink and took it back to my seat just because I could. I also really liked the cup holder accoutrement.
I get so damn claustrophobic in the Rhody Pub. I like the downstairs one better, and we have the lovely Mrs. Cox to thank for that upgrade. If it wasn’t for her we wouldn’t have it.

Also, every word coming from the PA guy was crystal clear. It could have been because it was comparably quiet in there compared to the RC, but I think it's just a much better sound system.

You can’t hear the sound system at ALL from the 100s, but can from the 200s. That sound proofing padding below the main scoreboard “helped” but didn’t solve.

Anyway we could change the color of our seats????
I think its embarrassing to have Royal Blue seats.
Whyyyyy???
When they built the place, who the hell decided to paint the original court that bland royal or whatever blue and make the seats that color??
After Dayton blew us out a poster on their forum said something about revealing our "Royal Blue seats"

Like how did we rationalize doing that?
Was it an accident?
More incentive to fill the seats to hide the color blunder.

My personal opinion is that the seats would look better black.
I can't say that given that we don't have working WiFi that changing the seat colors would even make a list of things they would do, but watch them do that before the WiFi.

I have a bit of insomnia tonight and this thread hasn't gotten much love. Anyone else think we will be able to complain about the RC? My current take is the goal would be 25-50% capacity, but I'lll take that for a win.
I sincerely wish we were complaining about the damn WiFi and concession lines.

I would not expect any fans this season. There is just too much risk. The teams want to complete the season. Any risk of a potential interruption will be avoided.Taylor Swift wrote: ↑3 years ago I have a bit of insomnia tonight and this thread hasn't gotten much love. Fans in the Ryan Center? Will there even be games there? Many conferences are discussing having league games at secure bubble sites. Could be very few games played on college campuses.

The teams are staying at Mohegan hotel. Each team gets a floor. They will have a separate conf room for all their meals. The teams are escorted from their floor to their locker room to ensure they don’t come in contact with the public.Rhodymob05 wrote: ↑3 years ago Why can't the Ryan Center become a secure bubble?
