Which was the one that was REALLY talented?

Only partially being facetious, wondering which player you're thinking of.

Hammond and Tate have talent.

Maybe not a lot, but we'll never know here.

Do we have a compliance department the way TENN does, or is Cox the compliance department?

I think the role has gone unfilled since the departure of Preston Murphy...

It is not specific to basketball. It is a position in the Athletic Dept.

Someday, I want to log-in to KB and read a post that states the NCAA has granted Sheppard his eligibility.

I thought they only give the 6th year if it’s for an injury and not grades? I’m not very familiar with the rules

Might be a long shot, but he wouldn't be the first guy to gain a 6th year of eligibility.

You have 5 years to play 4. This is his 5th and last year.

"A student-athlete may be granted a sixth year of eligibility if he/she is unable to participate in his/her sport for more than one season within the five-year period due to circumstances beyond the control of the student-athlete."

I guess his chances are slim...

Him not playing last year was beyond his control (I don't know if the NCAA will see it that way though).

Him not playing last year was in his control. He wasn’t academically eligible. He didn’t graduate from Junior College and he didn’t have the appropriate number of credits. He has one year left.

Regardless of whether he could get a sixth year or not - He's going to be 23 in July, so, 24 essentially after the end of next season. I don't know if he has like, pro potential in Europe, but if he does, I imagine it's in his best interest to do so, rather than playing another year of college basketball.

Do we know if Sheppard will now be eligible for an additional year? I keep hearing that this year won't count toward certain eligibility but I'm not sure how real that is.

Given what he’s been through I hope he is. We would have a great backcourt even with the loss of Fatts.

Every single player in the country is awarded an extra year if they want it.

From an impeccable source: he DOES have that option.
