Yes indeed. It takes just a moment to set someone as a foe.Rhody74 wrote:RhowdyRam02 that's what I did. If enough people blocked him, it would be like he wasn't even there .....
Just click on the Profile button seen on any of their posts. Then click the Add Foe button just under their avatar or online/offline status (top-left section of profile). That's it.
That said, my patience is running thin with Sean.

I don't know if this is a precedent you would want to set plus (unless you can ban IP addresses) he would just make a new name and become even worse. I just think we all need to try to not engage him and he will eventually get bored and go away.ATPTourFan wrote: That said, my patience is running thin with Sean.

This had nothing to do with geography (obviously). This was the case of a kid who didn't want to play for Cooley.

Gerard Coleman might end up at Northeastern. That would be a good spot for him.

He wants to be able to play and score, so he had to go down a level. URI said thanks but no thanks. Other mid-majors probably did, too.

Re: NCAA Transfers, 2014 Edition
It's interesting how some of these fifth year transfer guys approach their last year. Some move to be the focus of the offense and get big numbers, others want to just win, even if they end up with a more minor role. Neither approach is wrong, it's just what they're looking for out of the experience.Iggy1979 wrote:He wants to be able to play and score, so he had to go down a level. URI said thanks but no thanks. I think for a guy like Coleman who was so highly touted coming out
of high school, and has been kind of a disappointment, this may
be his only chance to star somewhere.

And if Coleman was interested in winning, he would've stayed at Gonzaga. As Rod says, he wants to have a big year.ace wrote:It's interesting how some of these fifth year transfer guys approach their last year. Looks like some people never learn from their mistakes.
Kaza Keene dragged his decision making out so long with
CFL and Canisius, that they brought in a PG from Poland instead.

So Gerard Coleman to Northeastern has never been officially announced. Any chance, now the Powell situation has been resolved, that he ends up at URI. We know there's interest from his end. Any interest from Hurley's end?

Re: NCAA Transfers, 2014 Edition
Something becomes public and then they change their decision? Huh, how unusual...
The relevant part:
SportsNet New York reported earlier Thursday that Brown had been denied his release from USM despite already graduating from the school. On Thursday evening, USM released a statement saying that the athletic department had changed its stance.
"Upon returning to the office tonight, after two full days away, I had the opportunity to fully review Aaron Brown's written request for a release," USM athletic director Bill McGillis said in a statement. "I was able to contact and visit with Aaron personally to discuss his request and to understand his family circumstances. I was also able to visit with coach (Doc) Sadler to gain his perspective."

I always had a soft spot for BC because my first memory of watching a football game was Flutie's hail mary and they were always New England's college football team, but between taking away Preston Murphy and Jim Foster and being in on every recruit we're in on they're really starting to piss me off. Might have to start cheering for BU in the Bean Pot!

Re: NCAA Transfers, 2014 Edition
Found this quote from when he transferred from Temple:
"Brown said he hasn't decided on a destination. If he had his wish, Brown said, he would like play for his former high school coach, Dan Hurley, the new head man at Rhode Island.
However, that is unlikely because he would have to sit out the next two seasons since he would be transferring within the Atlantic Ten Conference. Temple won't become a Big East Conference member until the 2013-14 season."

I get it--he is a 5th year player with plenty of experience and decent stats but whose minutes will he be taking. I guess he would be an upgrade over JR but would he be willing to come off the bench as a 5th year player?

Completely unrelated to Aaron Brown, but 4 years ago, URI was in the final 4 for a 4-star player from Georgia named Dai-Jon Parker. He chose Vanderbilt. It was announced today he's transferring to a D-II school.

Wow! Here's a shock! NAIA???????????
"Former Gonzaga Bulldog Gerard Coleman will play his senior season of basketball for Georgetown (Kentucky) College.
Tigers coach Chris Briggs expects Coleman to be a productive player for the NAIA program, which won the national championship two years ago."

I don't see why they'd go back on their thinking, which at the

Re: NCAA Transfers, 2014 Edition
I watched the Tennessee Games in Orlando when they beat Santa Clara and then lost to Kansas and Marquette.
Against Kansas he shot an airball from the Free Throw Line (I know maybe he would fit in here ) and after he air balled the FT the crowd got on him with the old Air Ball chant. It was interesting because he smiled and kind of played to the crowd in a gentle sort of way. He seems talented but does not play hard or tough all of the time.
Maybe some Coaches could get more out of him but I think the Tennessee HC (formerly of Southern Miss) does not care for nonsense and less than 100% effort all the time. Big guy, tall and solid, and has talent inside but I think I'll pass.
