And Helenga would be a big Baron defender, why?
Helenga went to South Lakes High School. His family now lives in Michigan.
Dustin was the second of a long line of Baron Doghouse
members. Troy Wiley was the first, but surely not the last.
Loved Helenga's game. He was like a poor man's Steve Chubin.

Can we please stop conflating defending Baron and critiquing Hurley? My ID is not gonerodgone. It is gonebarongone. I doubt there is a soul on the planet happier than I am that JB is gone.

If you disagree with anyone on this board, its because you're a Baron-lover. Its been like that for years, it will probably never change.Gonebarongone wrote:Can we please stop conflating defending Baron and critiquing Hurley? My ID is not gonerodgone. It is gonebarongone. And so it should be. As a coach, the man has done nothing really. Guess it depends on your aspirations for URI basketball. Glad he's finally gone. 12 years. Man, has it been 12 years?Optimistic wrote:If you disagree with anyone on this board, its because you're a Baron-lover. No it shouldn't be like that. We should be able to argue and discuss the program on this board without everyone invoking the "you must love Jim Baron!" card every 5 minutes. Its immature to think that like that. I don't agree with GBG that often, but he backs up his posts with his reasoning and has never said a positive word about Jim Baron (that I've seen). Give it a rest already.theblueram wrote:And so it should be. As a coach, the man has done nothing really. Guess it depends on your aspirations for URI basketball. Glad he's finally gone. 12 years.
