That was an unbelievable finish Ramster.
They were down by 10 points in the 2nd half.

UMass advances to the finals of the Myrtle Beach Inv.

UMASS hung tough after TJ Weeks missed 2 FTs with 17 seconds left

Matt Cross is a beast with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Big, strong guy inside. Weeks hit 4-5 3Ps, Fernandes hit 2-3 3Ps

Imagine Texas A&M comes in highest seeded team of the 8 teams Ranked in the AP Top 25 and has lost their first 2 games. Not ranked anymore.

Yes, Ramster, a very underwhelming showing from TX A&M but, they will have many more opportunities to redeem themselves. I watched a few minutes of their games but not enough to give an opinion as to if they will be able to redeem themselves.

Frank Martin has them playing pretty well early.

Pretty crazy to watch a UMass team that doesn't just chuck up threes and they actually play defense.

Umass has legit chance to finish Top 4. After SLU and Dayton every other team is flawed. Umass has an all league PG surrounded by a few good veteran pieces (Weeks, Cross, Kante, Leveque). If they play D every night they will win some games for sure.

Aside from the UMass win, Davidson had a nice victory over South Carolina.

George Mason loses to Boston College 56-71.
BC still dealing with some injuries including freshman sensation (F) Prince Aligbe.
Agilbe led the team the first game with 16 pts/9 rebs, then had a high ankle sprain very early in the 2nd game.

I didn’t see any of the game, and don’t know if George Mason is dealing with any injuries, but if GM was at full strength, that’s a black eye for the A10 that BC can easily handle a projected top four or five A10 team. BC was up an astounding 26 points at halftime.

I believe BC had both their starters back along with others who missed the last few games.

Oduro had a terrible game played about 20 minutes and only scored 1 point and 3 rebs.

Prince Aligbe who started the 1st and 2nd game (only played 4 minutes before getting injured) is still out.

Yea, at first glance the GM loss to BC looks bad based off of BC’s recent loss to Maine at home. But, as mentioned above, I don’t know if BC’s injured starters returned for the GM game or not.

On another note…I flipped in to the Florida vs Florida State game last night and saw a highlight of Naheem McCleod (I’m sure many here remember him) of FSU getting posterized on a dunk by a smaller Florida player. Ooph!

It's crazy to me that he ended up staying at FSU, because it seemingly almost never happens, between his academic issues and the fact that he's not playing much. He also turns 23 in January and he's classified as a sophomore. If he actually stays for four years, he'll be 25 - and 26 if he does a grad year.

Mason's loss looks bad but, then again nothing really makes sense early this year.

Like Colorado losing to Grambling and UMass, but beating A&M by 30 and probably the best team in the SEC TN by 10.

Wouldn't shock me at all if Mason beat Maine by 20 if they played.

That's why it also wouldn't shock me if we somehow take K-State to the wire.

To me, it wasn’t so much the loss as the margin: down 26 at halftime! I guess this can happen when you least expect it, as we all witnessed at the RC at the end of the 2018 regular season, with St Joe’s annihilation.

PRT I was thinking the exact same thing.

SLU down 24 points at the half.
These are the games we need to win and get noticed by the NCAA committee.

Really had high expectations for the league this season and it's looking like another disappointment.

Not getting much easier.
They will play the loser of Miami/PC

Still have to travel to Auburn
Also at Iona.

Plus tough mid-majors Boise State and Drake left.

I watched SLU against Memphis and they looked way better, so I expect them to bounce back but, it's bad coaching to come out that flat.

The A10 just can’t blow these opportunities if it wants to be taken seriously (be the best non-P6 conference) come March.

It has the coaching to get there. Just need to win a healthy share of the key games.

The sophomore big for Miami, Omier, had a real good game against the Friars. He was dominant on the boards. Real nice player.

Nothing from Ant Walker (former Rhody recruiting target). Only played 7 minutes.

SLU looked like absolute garbage today, they played horrible on both ends of the floor and gave very little effort from my view. So disappointing to see that kind of effort in a game that would have looked good for their resume and for the conference. Based on what I saw today, not sure how this team rebounds and gives pc a game.

My other concern is compared to SLU this is almost a home game for PC.
Ford really needs to get this team back on track after the Maryland disaster.
SLU definitely has the talent to win this game.

Based on what I saw today, not sure how this team rebounds and gives pc a game.
It's possible. Watched them play Memphis and they looked like a completely different team.
My other concern is compared to SLU this is almost a home game for PC.
Ford really needs to get this team back on track after the Maryland disaster.
SLU definitely has the talent to win this game.
St. Louis is favored by 2 over PC in the losers bracket game.

Who would have thought #24 Ranked Texas A&M and a Loyola of Chicago would be playing for 7th Place in the Myrtle Beach Invitational. One of those two teams will be going home having gone 0-3 in the Tournament

Probably Loyola going home 0-3, they lost both games by an average of 20 points.
Not great considering many picked them to finish 3-4 in the A10 (not me).
