Dayton wins in double OT at Olean. Only saw the last five mins of regulation on, but what a game. Clutch highly contested shots on both sides.

I'm watching the end of the UVA @ Duke game on ESPN. They might as well change their name to DukeSPN.

West Virginia beat Kansas. That was a stunner!

So basically we’re better than Kansas.

Bowman 6-6 for BC keeping them in it against FSU. This is the kind of game the Noles could lose.
That Popovic dude looks like he might have some skills, too.

PC point guard play continues to be poor.
Duke in 20 minutes goes 1-5 FG and 0-2 FT for 2 points while Ashton-Langford in 22 minutes goes 1-7 FG, 0-1 FT for 2 points
Total from PG spot 42 minutes, 2-12 FG, 0-3 FT for 4 points. And this continued poor play from 2 guys who were Top 50 ESPN. Love Reeves but Duke has a lot to prove.

At least MAL had 7 assist & 1 turnover. Duke had 2 & 2.

I think MAL is lowly rated justifiably so.

MAL is way overrated. He struggled to shoot from the field and from the free throw line.
Doesn’t say much for Duke’s rating either the fact he is losing playing time to MAL

Reeves is legit but MAL and Duke have plenty of upside available based on their performances. PC has been a big producer of great point guards over the years building a reputation for that position but they are struggling there now

MAL was overrated coming into last year, but this year I haven’t seen, heard, or read anyone talking him up. Seems to be well known now that he isn’t very good compared to his hs ranking.

Agree. He began the first part of the year glued to the bench.

I've said it many times, going back to high school. Reeves is a much better player than Duke. Duke has great size for a PG, but doesn't really excel at any aspect of the game. He doesn't suck. He'll be decent, but I never understood why he was ranked in the top 50 of his class.

Point Guard Recruiting Rankings:
Jeff Dowtin Not Rated by 247
Fatts Russell #164
Makai Ashton-Langford #37
David Duke #54

Who would you pick first?

What is amazing is that as bad as Ashton-Langford has been and how much he has underperformed on expectations, he is not stealing time away from Duke who got the starting nod from Eddie Cooley from Day 1.

If I could rank these Point Guards at this point in time (or who would I want to draft on my pick up team)
1 - Jeff Dowtin
2- Fatts Russell
3 - Makai Ashton-Langford
4- David Duke

I know it's still early for Duke but I was expecting much more from him based on all the press he got - a lot of it from the Projo and Mr Rothstein and from Cooley himself bragging about this kid.

Well to be fair to Duke, he received all that press because he was born and raised in Providence and decided to stay home and go to PC. Anytime a local kid stays home they’re bound to receive more press.

I highly doubt Duke would have received that much Pub if he decided to go to Virgina Tech.
