ramster that is an awesome effort and some “Think”ing.
They will take charter flights so I don’t know that there is a lot of risk in the flying.

True but flying also involves airport moving about.
I like the local bus travel because it doesn’t take much time and effort. Team can practice at schools they will be playing against. Also gets team out of #1 Ranked Rhode Island in Cases per 100,000. A bit warmer too.
I thought about Kent State as a possibility too. Maybe Cincinnati?

Cincy and Xavier both have busy schedules, probably won’t work with them.ramster wrote: ↑3 years ago True but flying also involved airport moving about.

I didn't check the schedules of all the teams I listed. Could be possible openings this week or next week. Also, all these teams I mentioned may have no openings this week or next week but every day (or hour) can bring surprises. Just need to keep eyes and ears open. Schedules are as flexible as they have ever been. Look far and wide for opportunities to play. Only 1 game between our last one and then December 18th Davidson is not enough.

Under the current circumstances, UConn offers the best fit and the prospect appeals to others. We should know soon if it is possible.

There is this study. Seems like there haven't been a lot of issues with the spread happening on planes.

Re: 2020-21 Schedule (top post is current)
The Airlines and Hotel Industry want you to think that. Fauci says he would not get on a plane since last April - he still stands by that. In addition to the plane you have the Airport Itself in the Depart and Arrival Locations - round trip represents 4 Airport visits, TSA Check In, Travel to and from airport, etc. It's best to play at home obviously or a bus trip away (Dunk anyone?)PeterRamTime wrote: ↑3 years agohttps://www.washingtonpost.com/local/tr ... story.html

Let's see if we can get a "development game". Actually any game is what we need.

Doesn't make sense in a plane with recirculating air that it wouldn't spread easier.

Re: 2020-21 Schedule (top post is current)
Bryant scored about a thousand points yesterday. I'd play them. Just need a game to stay sharp. A game against Bryant would take very little planning. Get on a bus from Smithfield to Kingston. Whatever day works for them in the next 4 days.

Re: 2020-21 Schedule (top post is current)
Weirdest part of all of this to me is the lack of rumors we’ve heard about realistic game scenarios this week. Granted there’s a lot of time, but you’d think the staff would want to get something on the calendar ASAP

I'm guessing you have never flown private at TF Green. The "terminal" is on Airport Road. You park your car, grab your bag and walk over to your plane. It's like taking an Uber that arrived at your house.ramster wrote: ↑3 years agoThe Airlines and Hotel Industry want you to think that. Re: 2020-21 Schedule (top post is current)
We don’t have to worry about a game with UCONN this week now. Both Goodman and Rothstein have reported that they have gone into pause due to Covid.
Gonzaga also on pause until December 14. Without games in a bubble, we will see this all season.

Re: 2020-21 Schedule (top post is current)
As more and more OOC games have been canceled this season throughout the NCAA, I agree with Cox and am very disappointed that the A10 didn't go to a 20 game conference schedule this year, especially with 14 teams.

Don’t understand why we’re playing this game. The road to the A-10 Championship doesn’t run through Madison.

Their bigs can really shoot the three as well. We have to make sure we do not leave Micah Potter or Nate Reuvers open from 3. They will knock down that 3 easily down even at 6 foot 10 or 6 foot 11.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑3 years ago Just looking at Wisconsin's roster....they're huge!!!

It's a fall back game, Cox really wanted to schedule Fairleigh Dickinson University to do what is best the Rams but couldn't get it done. FDU was impossible to schedule because the road to the Big East Championship runs through FDU.SmartyBarrett wrote: ↑3 years ago Don’t understand why we’re playing this game. Monday, December 07, 2020
The URI men’s basketball team is flying to the University of Wisconsin to play the Badgers.
The game is a late addition to the schedule in a year that is marked by the coronavirus and the need to be flexible.
The 3-2 Rams have won three in a row.

Wow, great job by URI to get this done on short notice, what a way to start this week.
Let me get this straight, PC schedules Farleigh Ridiculous instead of us, and we schedule Wisconsin, interesting turn of events.

This Wisconsin squad is huge, disciplined and they have 7 dudes who shoot 35% + from three point land.

Man will this be a test. Wisconsin is a very good all round team. Bigs that can shoot the rock and a notoriously stiff D!
Going to need our shooters to knock down shots early and often.
