Actually nothing really new that we haven't discussed.

Archie talked about past history with Cooley.

Also the key to winning is ball security (limiting turnovers) and rebounding.
Plus of course making shots.

He feels the team has really improved and gave props to Ish and Bray.
The frontcourt needs to step-up.
He is impressed by Bilau's fast progress and work ethic.
Must be patient with Weston.

Didn't hear anything about Carey's injury.

He is looking forward to a packed and loud RC.

Any mention of Malik Martin’s injury status?

Not really.
Just mentioned that Martin's maturity and steady play is vital to this team's success, or something like that.
Didn't get the impression his injury is anything serious.

He seems slower, less agile and unable to jump as normal compared to the past. Ankle seems to be holding him back. Getting his shot blocked because of jumping limitation.

I agree his maturity and experience are important to this version of Rhody. And, as others have posted, I also think the injury could be bothering his lift, explosiveness and foot speed.

I think the last one was cancelled due to illness. Would assume that threw all the sponsorships for a loop and they've gotta scramble to figure out who gets what.

It appears the Varsity app isn't saving either of the coaches' shows. I was really hoping to hear Tammi and her players first show last week. At least they've got a lot of great results to talk about.

I agree. Steve has been great this year. I like the new 1 hour format. Archie talks a blue streak. Steve is much more serious with Archie. Not much there there to work with interviewing DC.

Just bumping this due to the Coaches show being scheduled for tonight at the Mews Tavern for 730pm.

It looks like Ish Leggett and Justin Mazzulla (Grad Assistant) will also be in attendance on the show as well.

Should be a good one after this past week.

Where is Tammi's archived show? All I see on this stupid app are future streaming programs/games.

Somebody in the athletic department needs to get their arms around this POS app. Smalltime universities not only archive programs but also have dedicated regular podcasts. Steve and Chris are a first-class team. They should have a regular program about both of our BB teams!

Stone filling in for Steve who is sick.
Nothing new regarding the Bray situation, more ball handling time for Bassy and Carey.
Hutch may have an opportunity to see more court time.
Archie said he may experiment with a bigger line-up.
Discussed road difficulties: rebounding and turnovers.
Big improvement on Alex's play and he sees it in practice.
VCU will be a very physical and tough match-up.
Scheduling is very difficult especially with the P5 schools.
Looking forward to the HOF Tip-Off Mohegan Sun.

That’s fair but way too soon IMO esp on Weston who I think has that ceiling. But also even a good A10 team isn’t going to have 4-5 all league starters. There is a need for other pieces. I can count on 1 hand how many 6’11 guys we have had that could get up where Alex does.

Jimmy Ball, a walk on guard, and Sebastian Thomas were the guest following Miller.

Miller said scheduling is very tough for P5 schools and specifically mentioned the 20 games that P5 Conferences play now plus the role of the TV Networks in arranging the P5 Conferences playing one another that also takes up valuable potential games for Mid Majors. Tammi Reiss said she had the same difficulty getting quality games when she put together this year's schedule. She said she could not get P5 or Big Programs to play. It's a problem.

Miller mentioned effort multiple times and said we need to play unselfish basketball.

Miller is looking forward to the rest of the conference games, playing 3 upcoming home games and the A10 Tournament.

Interesting that he mentioned "unselfish basketball". Sometimes I felt like Brayon was being too selfish with the ball.

I felt that the unselfish basketball was a reference to Freeman and how we can now become unselfish. I never bought that Freeman had to take so many shots because the rest of the team was so inept. At any rate, we will see now how the team does. My guess is much more passing, less dribbling, more players involved in the offense. Hope so anyway.
