Did Texas take his moms bf too?

I saw that future opponent Milwaukee was being taken to the woodshed by Eastern Kentucky with about 15 minutes remaining: down by 25. Milwaukee must have had a spurt to make the final score respectable, but the damage had already been done. Eastern Kentucky seems to be an ok team, but Milwaukee was at home and favored by six.

The A-10 opened the day with two wins and proceeded to lose the next five. The VCU loss to the preseason favorite in the NEC , Wagner, was ominous as the game was close in the waning minutes as VCU completely fell apart under the pressure on its home court. Both Davidson and GW saw West Coast trips turned to disaster especially GW who got blown out from the start. Was their effort against Maryland a mirage or is Maryland simply not that good?

Limited action on Sunday in the A-10:

Canisius at #23 St. Bonaventure, 5 PM. On ESPN+.

Morgan State at George Mason, 6 PM. On ESPN+.

In games involving URI OOC opponents:

Binghamton at Sacred Heart, 1 PM.

Central Connecticut at Brown, 4 PM. On ESPN+.

Fairfield at Boston College, 4 PM. OnACCNX/ESPN+.

Are we going to hear this every time a team has a bad loss? Yes basically every single team will have some bad losses along the way. It’s the total body of work where I’m judging Cox and Any coach here.

VCU losing to Wagner was an upset but Wagner is no cupcake.
What is really surprising is the way they clobbered VCU on the boards 42-24 even with VCU's big starting frontcourt of Ward and Levi.

Wagner is favored to win the NEC ahead of Bryant.
They have some good players:
Morales - NEC POY
Ford - 1st team NEC
Hunt - NEC Rookie of the Year.

Also Bashir Mason is one of the better young coaches. He won the conference 3 times and also 3 time NEC COY.
He took over for Hurley and was the youngest Div. 1 HC at 28.

VCU was favored by 11 at home where they sell out all their games. Losing by 14 is a 25 point gap.
VCU fans are not used to losing at home.

Except to us :)
I am surprised by the upset and score, but not totally shocked.
Especially the way VCU played their last game and Wagner is a decent team.

JimSidd wrote: 2 years ago I don’t remember how many comments have been made on the Utah State - Richmond game. Utah State has a good program, but Richmond HAS to win that game at home. A double digit loss is a stain on the entire league. This is the type of loss that can hurt any A10 bubble team in March, not just Richmond.
I won’t even get into Dayton losing to UMASS Lowell. I see Gregory Hammond got a whopping seven minutes of playing time and didn’t score.
Of course there was that once in a generation Dayton team from 2020, but besides that, I feel the quality of the top A10 teams has really slipped the past couple of years. I’ve seen several instances of teams in lesser leagues aquit themselves very well in the tournament and I still can’t get over how inept St Bonaventure looked against LSU last March. They looked like they didn’t belong on the same court.
Game was at a Neutral Site, not at Richmond but 100% agree they have to win that game, Utah State lost at home the game before this to UC Davis

Canisius beating the Bonnies at half 31-26.
What is going on, no way should they lose this game.

St Bona always loses at least one head scratcher in non-conference play.

They better come back I got them in my parlay

BC handles Fairfield, 72-64. BC never trailed in this game and held a double digit lead through most of the second half. The Eagles went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc.

It is a rivalry game which the Griffs would be up for. Canisius and Niagara, also western NY Catholic schools, along with SBU made up the historic Little Three and all used to play a lot of games at the old AUD in Buffalo.

SBU record versus Little Three
Canisius 101-67
Niagara 89-71
