9 minutes for the hot hand is ridiculous.. obviously 5 guys can't play 40 minutes each , so again someway, somehow 2 or 3 out of Betrand,Carey, Martin, Harris and Johnson have to help in someway and none of those 5 is contributing anything.. if anything they are all regressing which does not bode well for this team.

Biggest disappointment so far tonight is Shep, especially when we can't count on AB and/or Carey

If I was Cox, Jeremy Sheppard is the guy that I would try to convince to play another season to improve his ability to get a good gig overseas. That is assuming that he is interested in another year of school. If so we have a shot at being a real good team next year. Ish and Sheppard are a real good fit together. Martin can play with those guys as mostly a defensive stopper. Our front court will be fine as long as Makhi comes back strong from injury. This team could click next year. We do not really need Carey or Betrand to be anything other than decent bench players. DJ Johnson was late to the game of basketball and seems to be improving somewhat to my eyes. I wonder how the "redshirt freshman" are coming along in practice?

This may be true but it's not right.
I mean I get what you’re trying to say but at the end of the day what is there left to prove this year? If I’m the coach (and know next year is one of the most important of my career), I’d want everyone on my roster getting as much experience as possible
If your theory is true, why is Sheppard leading the team with 18 minutes and why is an injured Fatts second?
That was going to be my point as well. If you're punting on 2020-21 for whatever reason, then the "move" is to play Ish as much as possible, and to make him the focal point of the offense. (And hell, even if you're playing for 2020-21, at this point it might be better to run the offense through him anyway, given Fatts' limitations.)

Or you want to get at least a single bye in the A10 tourney and make a run to save your job this year?
They could lose every last game on the schedule this year and Cox isn’t getting fired.
What does that mean? Sure he could lose every last game and not get fired, but he won't want to see fans in the stands next year.
Lol I promise you NCAA coaches don’t go to bed at night thinking “I hope the fans on our schools message board have nice things to say about me”. That was one of the most narcissistic comments of all time. We do not matter. The average fan cares if you’re great or not great. We’re currently not great.

Every single poster on this board better hope Shep comes back next year. And I bet Cox is praying even harder than any of us

Nothing says “come play at URI” like benching one of the all time players in your schools history
Are you talking about the guy shooting 33% FG and 25% 3pt this year?

Yes I am. If you’re trying to joke around I get it he’s playing below average this year. If you seriously think you just can outright bench a player of Fatts caliber/brand because he’s playing poorly, you have a lot to learn about college basketball

ISH is the best player on this team, should play 35-40 minutes a night from now on. Also tres berry must be losing his mind watching this shit play by Bertrand and Carey.

After the roster this year and the hype around the transfers, the only way I’ll ever get excited about a new player again is if we get LeBron’s kid, or Emoni Bates switched from Mich St to us.

I couldn’t care less the ranking, other offers, previous stats at another school going forward.

But even then...why? They’re going to get a rest?

And walker only played NINE minutes in the first.

It matters that Cox has never been a head coach anywhere before. He has never had to make these decisions. It’s year 3. The fact that he can’t understand momentum or recognize the flow of a game enough to make sensible calls is worrisome to say the least.
