Re: Roster 2020-21
Yeah the twins would be eligible at the latest December after the 1st semester like Antwan Walker. This is assuming the transfer rule was not approved this June or a Waiver is not granted for immediate eligibility.

Tre Berry will bring us to 12 players.
Only one player left unaccounted for from the lower list (that we know of).

If we didn’t lose the body and size of Rese, I’d say leave a ship open.

Yeah, if you can get a lights out shooter to fit the athleticism of this team, that is tough to turn down.

Like I've said, a wing scorer/shooter like Ellis or Murray, you take him.

Agreed. The nice part is I think we have the luxury to wait it out a little at this point and see what happens.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑4 years ago Like I've said, a wing scorer/shooter like Ellis or Murray, you take him.

I think maybe the rest of the conference got a little nervous today.

This article says they stayed at Maryland this past semester too. Does this matter?RF1 wrote: ↑4 years agoI think it is leave. I am not sure. They didn't enroll for the spring semester. so the earliest they can enroll is fall. If they don't get a waiver they wouldn't be able to play until the following year? (sitting out 1 year from enrollment. not from when they leave??)
Anyone???

Under current rules that wouldn’t play at all next year unless they got a waiver:Rhodyhooopz wrote: ↑4 years agoI am not sure. Academic year in residence: Under the basic transfer regulations, you must spend an academic year in residence at the school to which you are transferring. If you transfer from a four-year college to an NCAA school, you must complete one academic year in residence at the new school before you can play for or receive travel expenses from the new school, unless you qualify for a transfer exception or waiver. To satisfy an academic year in residence, you must be enrolled in and successfully complete a full-time program of studies for two-full semesters or three-full quarters. Summer school terms and part-time enrollment do not count toward fulfilling an academic year in residence

That's what I thought. So unless they get a waiver or NCAA passes the no sit rule, they won't play until 2021-2022 season.

It looks to me like the chances for removing the transfer wait have actually recently decreased. The vote has been put off and delayed and several conferences have been reported to be fighting it.

So I’m assuming you’re guessing the rule won’t pass and Martin won’t play either?theblueram wrote: ↑4 years ago I'll take the wager that the twins don't play next year. Much like Sheppard and Walker.
If it passes, all 3 are a go (obviously).

Re: Roster 2020-21
In my opinion we need a cupcake schedule pre conference
Cox will truly be running his stuff now and it takes time to smooth out that offense. Cupcakes 🧁 needed then hit January firing on all cylinders.
He’s gonna have fun coaching this year!

Per the rules right now, all of these recent transfers are not immediately eligible. I myself will not get too excited until I know that they are cleared to play.

Malik Martin erases the Tyrese Martin departure and the recruitment of Tre Berry in one swoop.
Even Cole recruitment would also seem unlikely at this point.

This feels like an NBA team gathering talent to get there star player to return in free agency. Fatts will definitely be returning seeing the opportunity to play on this team. Excellent job by the staff.

Mr. Cox just played possum with us. I think he wanted to show the correct amount of somberness towards losing some players, but damn if our backup plans weren't all lined up it looks like. Yeah tough to recruit with the virus separation going on, eh? *wink wink*
