I’ve been saying this from the early games. Been critical of his defense since November.
He has been a big disappointment.
But his play is what it is......
more incredulous to me is how long Cox went with him as a Starter and how many 3 point shots he has been allowed to take with a poor percentage and how often he looks to play as less that optimal effort.
I’d play him 5 minutes a game if that

I’d also like to see Tate get into the game earlier. A good result from Thompson and Preston is then having NO impact on the game. Tate is much more likely to have a positive impact than them already, plus every minute he’s on the court accelerates his development that much more. He’s going to be a key piece on the next good team here; Thompson and Preston won’t be. Just play him and let him grow up in live action.

We are in it.

Both teams having the same issues.

VCU scored most points off turnovers and put backs.

Limit those and make some threes, but dont shoot too many and we will be in a good position to win.

Shooting 27.6% from the field 8-29 and its basically on every player. I would think they can't shoot any worse than that in the 2nd half.

We need to rotate the ball much quicker when they double team. Comes back to off ball movement. Lucky to only be down 4 with that first half, not lack of effort or energy just being outplayed.

As someone else pointed out in the last game this is our best lineup. Decent size and players that complement each other well on the offensive end. (Fatts, Jeff, Cyril, Dana, Martin)
