Biggest game in Dan's tenure.

A lot of matchups will even out, I think key one for us to win is Kuran vs Washington, transfer vs transfer. On both ends of the floor. And have our backcourt depth wear them out. My keys to victory.

Limit turnovers.

We need to play better D than we did in the 1st 3 games. We will have some stretches of empty possessions, we need to do the same to them. Major X factor will be 3 pt shooting, I think we'll see a lot of zone today, their zone tends to leave the corner 3 open. We need to hit the open 3's, we do that, we win IMO.

This is actually what im interested in from UC.

Which D they roll out. They used the matchup zone the last 2-3 years because it helped hide some guys who they didn't want to get drug out to perimeter. But this years team, has pretty much played exclusively Man to Man because we have much better athletes and players who can guard any one.

BUT.. if UC starts getting beat down low or beat off the dribble, they will certainly move to the Match up Zone. Which allowed teams to shoot 36% from 3 last year BUT also forced teams to shoot just 41% from 2 (good for #1 in the country).

Crazy that we were so good at stopping the easiest shots in basketball yet gave up the "harder" shots at a much high rate than average

He did horrible research on us. He said only one person over 6-7 averages double figures, when both Hassan and Kuran average double figures.
Obviously hasn't seen us play either.

I have 3 other people over. There are dozens of college bball games on ESPN app for Xbox minus URI/Cinn.

there is no watch espn app... there is only ESPN app. I searched for it and no results. They merged a while ago.

What do you guys think of UC defense? Just asking as I'm used to it being really good but not sure if a lot of teams see defense like that

which category is it under? Live? ESPN3 live? NCAA MBALL? I checked under all 3 and there are dozens of mostly football games but nothing for our game

I got the $50 rip off apple AV lightning connector - rip off but works perfect. It's via the "watch espn" app.

Ok, not sure then. I am watching it on the Watch ESPN app on my iPad right now and streaming it to Chromecast on my TV.

Im having same problem with Xbox Espn, all games have disappeared.

Found it. I went to scoreboard, clicked on game, and clicked A button again to get it to watch. Have the game now on TV so my guests can enjoy the game.

The defense is definitely good, but we aren't doing anything offensively to help the situation. Lots of standing around, contested jump shots or forced shots.

I don't want to overreact with over a half of basketball left to play, but it looks like the same 'ol URI to me. Showing nothing in a big game, just not at the level of Top 25 high major teams. We'll be a good, top 4 A-10 team, but we are not a Top 25 team.

Can someone please post the refs if you can find them listed online?

Eventually someone will figure out the stupidity of having camera men sitting right on top of the court.
There simply is just not enough room for a D1 athlete running full speed to stop and avoid contact.
Garrett did not fall that far out of bounds either, but the contact was unavoidable.
He had to work hard enough just to avoid the stanchion, too much going on on the baseline.

My thoughts exactly. Rhody historically seems to be siked out by name schools with some anomolies.

I didn't see it, just going by twitter, but Garrett misses a layup, ends up hurt, and Cincinnati ends up scoring a 3 playing 5-4? Is that right? Did the refs blow a call? What happened?

Garrett went up for a layup, there was a crowd of Cincy players around him and has he landed he sort of stumbled, avoided the stanchion, and ended up hitting his head on the knee of a camera man, at least so they said on the broadcast tough to tell via replay.

Refs did not stop play because of the Cincy advantage going the other way, I'm sure since Garrett fell out of bounds and not on the court of play, officials might not have noticed how bad it was. Technically by rule, I do not believe they did not have to stop the play, although they certainly could have when the fast break was prevented.

How the don't stop the game is pretty baffling. If it had been a neck injury, every second counts getting out to him. Slow starts are killing us. Tie game after getting down 8-0.

Cincy looks top 10 to me as well. We will be crystal clear where we are after this game.....tho we will have to finish w/o our point guard.

It will be interesting to see if Dan gives Dowtin the ball at all....

Yep good call here. Add not looking at the game security guards to the list too....

Looked like shit in the first half. Same problems on offense we've seen before. Now if we lose people will blame it on losing Jarvis rather than looking at the actual issues.

Rules state they don't have too, I'm also sure the refs did not know the severity of the injury given that he sort of tripped and stumbled out of bounds as play started going the other way. If he had fallen onto the court of play, it may have been stopped given the fact one of the triggers for an immediate stoppage is chance of further injury while landing on the court.

Well I do know Cox is definitely getting dropped for me after this game! Could not make it there and after listening to most of the first half on radio just tried to stream multiple times starting 10 mins ago. WiFi connection is terrible and cannot keep the video stream going. Between the terrible internet speed and Rhody broadcasts leaving Cox, it is going to be Fios internet only for me going forward. Will save around $100 as well...

Will be interesting to see how we react. Either hungry to step up our game or just complete mess and out of sorts.

Cincy is good but we are making them look a lot better than they are.

I was pretty happy with the play of Cyril and Stan but not really anyone else in first half.

Really good Rhody fan base here.

Just dropped Cox yesterday. Will give them my Rhody farewell next week when I drop off my equipment.

The Fios feed has been fine for me so far. Also, man we look rusty.
