Good point.
Look, they let three guys that came here walk,
this spring.
Add Oneykaba, and it's four.
Aaman and Hare were kind of different cases.
Still, six players in three years.
Is it poor talent evaluation or lack of development (coaching?)
Interesting question, I think.

I think it might be related to the rigors of being on a Hurley coached team etc. and the seeing little to no playing time.....I know it is not youth basketball, but all that work, effort and no reward, playing time for it.....gotta be a factor....no?

I am usually Mr. Rosey Glasses around here.

We cannot get to where we want to go if this trend continues. We need to hit on recruiting or coach them up. Walkaways are not an option.

Walkaways retaining schollys is even more crushing.......

I coached sports almost 20 years - did I like every kid I drafted? Heck no but I found a way to figure out what made them tick and got the best out of them. If it meant a kid didn't respond well to my screaming at them I found another way to get them to play my way. It truly is not that difficult, the mind game part of getting somebody to do it your way is actually one of the great joys of coaching.

Winning is good too, we play to win the game.

Losing sucks at all levels....at least it does to me.

I'm here. Me and NYGFan208 talked to DH before the game...he said Rex will probably be playing tonight. This place looks exactly like my high school gym.

Great job on the press and got the turnover, just can't convert on the offensive end though. McGlynn really is a mess at this point, just not hitting anything.

JT did a great job getting the steal, it just seems he has no confidence to take it right up to the rim, looks like he gets the ball and hopes he gets fouled

Christion Thompson's defense has been very poor the entire season, he seems lost and slow on the floor and often it out of position. Defense should not be as hard as he makes it look.

Terrell and Garrett just can't seem to make many baskets this year. They are a combined 3-13 thus far vs Brown. They are a big part of why this team struggles.

He has really been a disappointment this year. That last shot he took in the half was way off.

Brown is shooting 55% from the field and Rhody is a dismal 35%. We may very well be looking at a 7-6 OOC record unless URI can make baskets in the 2nd half. I suppose if we are to lose to Brown, this would be a good season for it. This Rhody team will not be either an NCAA or probably not even an NIT bubble team so a loss tonight won't matter much.

How do you take 15 more shots than your opponent in a half and find yourself down by 7? You can only do that by shooting like crap at 35%.

We couldn't of played much worse and they hit a lot of desperation 3s we play better we should win but who knows if that will happen. Berry should get more minutes.. he can finish and his size alone helps with picks and rebounding. Don't play 4 guards with Earl put Berry in

It seems that opponents making 3's against us runs in cycles.

Right now nobody can miss. That will change at some point.

Of course if it doesn't the second half, we lose.

Terrell really is a mess. It doesn't seem like his head is in the game, and that is troubling.

He obviously has game when he's on. Just that he's hardly ever "on" much anymore.

His talent is being wasted.

I watch this team and how Hurley is on the sideline. He seems to be pressing, feels the season getting away from him and the team is pressing too as a reaction. Nothing is coming easy to this team right now, Hurley needs to enstill some confidence in these guys.

Why do we still get the "we need to win this game" posts game after game? It should be obvious by now that its makes zero difference who we win and lose to this year, we are not going to the ncaa tournament and likely not the nit this year. Once again we find ourselves talking about next season, its just I didnt think we'd be having this discussion in December.
