Typical Rhody basketball. Close but just enough mistakes to lose. Fade down the stretch. And some people here wonder why many don't think this team will go on a run and somehow snatch an NCAA bid? I am sorry to say it is the same story over and over.

Instead of bitching about the crowds that aren't going to show up for the rest of the year...maybe use that time to shoot free throws, call legit sets, and beat any team in the top 100. Getting really fucking sick of being a URI fan.

What a fucking disgrace. I don't know if I'm more mad at the officiating (24 FTs to 8) or our coaching. I've pretty much had it. This is like Barren ball with a nicer locker room and charter planes. We were clearly the better team and should have won this game by 20 points. Dominated for 36 fucking minutes.

I don't know what others see in this team that I don't. It will probably follow form and not win at ODU. I think an NIT bid might even be tough at this point. We are close to being good but never seem to be able to put it all together and always seem to come up short in some aspect of the game.

Guys played hard but (again), but its a broken record with this team, poor execution in the half court, bad free throw shooting and failure to get stops when needed. Good teams win this game going away, we find ways to lose. Not sure how some could see an at large from this team. 17 turnovers, 12 assists didnt help, Huskers hit 20-24 free throws, ball game.

Attendance is going to be brutal the rest of the year and the coaching staff and team have no one to blame but themselves.

I think what people were saying (at least I was) is that the avenue was still open so take a wait-and-see approach. But this game today was probably the end of that talk. We would have to thread a needle at this point, and that's even with a win at ODU which I think you'd have to be insane to expect with this team.

So, once more, we can't finish a game out.
Sickening. ONE basket scored in the last 3.03.
Can't blame the refs for that.
A bench player goes wild on us, a guard.
This is why only the diehards stay with this program.
Same song, different verse.
This one was very frustrating, to say the least.
The hallmark of good team is, 1. close out close games.
2.win on the road.
I know, EC was out.......
Maybe we can make the Coach Baron Invitational, if we pay them
$35,000?

Losing years off my life with this team. I thought we really played great all game. Nebraska just really made a late push an we couldn't finish. I'm sure the last play was drawn up for Four. We were a rebound away from this being a W....frustrating

Shooting well from the line can win the close games. It did today for Nebraska. While some might complain about officiating in this game, I don't think more calls on the Huskers would have helped. We would just have missed more ft's. With regards to the officiating, only less calls on us would have made it better.

This is it right here. We have been good enough to be in games like this for over a decade but we have never been good enough to win them. It is soul crushing. People complain about attendance. With the way this team treats its fan base with these kind of games, we are lucky there are 3,500 masochists willing to show up.

Infuriating loss. When's the last time they won a close game? They just forgot how to play basketball in the last 8 minutes or so. Played like they were afraid of losing. Ugh. I'm never a refs guy, but they were terrible all game, calling tick-tack fouls on URI all game long. Jarvis misses ANOTHER 1-and-1 in a clutch situation. Our season comes down to Brooklyn.

God help us. URI should in no way ever again accept an invite to the CBI. If we cannot even make the NIT, shut it down. Invites to the NIT however don't get Rhody fans excited anymore. Just look at the home attendance for these games in the last couple of appearances.
