OK, will take these recent bets. I will extend the betting time to Noon, today Friday and ask ATPTourfan to lock this thread at that time.

Re: Opening the 2013-14 Prediction Contest
Is there a minimum to how many posts you need to have posted to eligible for the contest. I see a couple of entries who have been members since Fall 2012 but have less than 10-20 posts? How do we determine if these people are actual fans or simply want a crack at a free meal?

Re: Opening the 2013-14 Prediction Contest
and there are 8 posters who predicted Mu mford as the highest scorer. If they win they should have to go without dessertURIGONZO wrote:Is there a minimum to how many posts you need to have posted to eligible for the contest. on a serious note, Obadiah you do a wonderful job with this contest and ATP too for being the effective overseer. Thank you.
I think that the prize makes people be more realistic in their predictions as opposed to everyone predicting the NCAA as an automatic. Also is interesting throughout the season especially as prognosticators are eliminated

Re: Opening the 2013-14 Prediction Contest
I put Xavier M. in my entry, so one could argue I picked Xavier McDaniel and thus my prediction for top scorer should not count.

Gonzo, that is a good observation, but I don't see anyone that warrants suspicion. All are bona-fide Rhody fans!

My daughter told me that when Munford is on the bench it becomes "Munford and subs".....

Re: Opening the 2013-14 Prediction Contest
To zombie bump this thread after it's been locked, just to answer this... Quite a few people read the board, and have active accounts, but don't ever post, including two of my college buddies. I'm assuming this is the case for people with less than 10 posts, but posting in this thread - that the chance at a free thing, plus the general fun of the prediction thread, draws them out of the woodworks. For similar reasons, you'll often see random people make their first tweet.URIGONZO wrote:Is there a minimum to how many posts you need to have posted to eligible for the contest.
