Re: '14 FL PG - Nate Mason (Offer)
Good player. Smooth, looks effortless at times, good outside shot, sees the floor very well , anticipates with his passes. Nate was the first player off the bench for CP3 - Chris Paul All Stars - who went to the Peach Jam EYBL Championship Game against E1T1. He played most of the games he was in even though not a proclaimed starter for CP3. He had 21 points and 7 assists against CP3 led by Duke Signee Grayson Allen. Played at Shilo HS but now transfering to Arlington Country Day in Jacksonville Florida to play for the Legendary Rex Morgan - former Boston Celtic 2nd Round Draft Pick and Guard. ...........Nate's stock has gone up with his play this summer and he has played very well at the Big Shots All American Camp.
Imagine in his day, in the 1970 National Championship Game, Rex Morgan (a 6'5" tall Point Guard) had 11 assists for Jacksonville against UCLA Coached by the legendary John Wooden. Imagine a 6'5" Point Guard in 1970??? So he is certainly a guy who can teach Nate how to play PG.
Good move by Dan Hurley to offer Nate early. His stock is rising fast.
What a different environment at URI. Reminds of the Jim Harrick Years. Wide net. Offering guys early. Verballing guys early. Putting in appearances at all of the Summer Camps, notably the Elite Camps. I expect to see URI offer players of higher and higher notoriety and capability.
Putting URI on the map from a recruiting standpoint. Times certainly are achangin'

If Nate Mason ever stops by, he's going to be very impressed, until he reads the posts.
And c'mon, there is no possible scenario out there in which Munford is not a starter.

Re: '14 FL PG - Nate Mason (Offer)
http://www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2013_07 ... mp-report/Nate Mason said he holds offers from East Carolina, Georgia State, George Mason, Murray State, Virginia, Clemson, Creighton, Lehigh, Southern Miss, The Citadel, Georgia Southern, Liberty, and Harvard. Mason mentioned Stanford, Minnesota and Rhode Island as other schools involved in his recruitment. The rising senior is “still open” at this time and has already visited Virginia, Clemson, Lehigh, and Liberty. He plans to make some more trips once school is in session and said of where he plans to go, “All of the schools I’m interested in, schools I like.”
Mason said Murray State and Lehigh are the two schools coming at him the hardest. He listed Liberty, East Carolina, Clemson, Virginia, Minnesota, and Harvard as other schools coming hard at him as well. Location will not be a factor for Mason, who said of when he plans to make his pledge, “I’m trying to commit before my senior [season] starts.” Mason, who said he has a 3.76 GPA, added that he is unsure if he will sign early or late.
