Looks like he missed most of the NIT due to a family emergency. Perhaps he wants to come back to the North East to be closer to them. His family lives in Brooklyn.

I hope Fordham doesn't come knocking on the door if he wants to be closer to home

Remember this is the Vault who is saying this. And we know why...so when it doesn't happen, it's a bad look for our coach.
You might be right there. All the same, could someone please create a Myles Foster thread?
Abdou is a stud. I like Foster, but another big that can't shoot doesn't seem like the best option. I'd gladly take Abdou and I would still love to land Buru..

And do we want another big who can't shoot whose also only 6'7?
Ousmane is a guy you would want 100%, but Foster is a definite no. Getting a big body like Ousmane for defense and rebounding would be very valuable to the front court, but to waste another scholarship on a guy like Foster who can't shoot when we need several three point shooters seems like a complete waste.
If getting Abdou means you bring on a dude like Foster that averaged 12 and 6 I’m fine with it… Not my top choice but id rather have both then none…I still think Alex may transfer and idk if Bilau plays next year. Top priority is getting a pure point guard that can shoot.

I'd take Alex and his 6'11 athletic potential over a 6'7 low major guy.

You have a point there.
Not sure they have room. Tsimbala is definitely back and Novitski has only played 2 years at Fordham and 2 years at a Juco. For some reason some are saying he needs a waiver. Is it possible you don’t get a COVID year if you have 2 years at a Juco? Doesn’t make sense, but, then again this is the NCAA.

Wouldn’t be a package deal
Is it one or the other? Watching Myles it looks like he's a 6'7 center. Wouldn't make sense to get both.

It’s one or the other, if we get Ousmane then Alex is Au Revoir imho
Hey if it has to be both , so what ?//// Remember , 11, 12 and 13 on the bench don't see the floor , so if Foster can't crack the lineup and is okay with
sitting , that can be a good thing . You don't want highly talented guys grumbling on the bench and who can't wait to leave.

I thought Robinson, Foster, and Abdou wanted to play together? That’s the rumor going around. I don’t want Foster but if that’s true I’m fine with landing him. He’s better than any big we had last year besides Bilau. Also, if we are still going after a few bigs it makes me wonder how ready Foumena is.

A 12 and 6 guy who starts isn't going to transfer to another mid major to sit on the bench.
We're going to need as many rebounds as we can get. it doesn't necessarily have to come from Foster, but it has to come from somewhere.
House averaged 4.0 rpg the past two years
Brown could be as many as 8 per game if he translates well, he seems to have a personal obsession with trying to get double-doubles driven into him.
After that we are starting from zero. players at all positions who get boards are going to be at a premium. We need shooting, but we also need rebounding.

Could Alex go average 12 and 6 at Monmouth? His game high last year was 11 pts in a dogshit A10. I think he’s a great kid but he’s so far away from making an impact on the offensive end I’d rather bring on guys that can make an impact next year. I can’t handle another season like last year. My only hesitation with Foster is fit. I’m not sure we need another player like him if we are bringing on Abdou.

Well the A-10 was still way beyond the CAA let's be real. 12 and 6 at 6'7 240 with average athleticism doesn't translate much better. Alex has a way higher ceiling.
But if we get Ousmane he's probably gone. Or Keegan Records.
Hell Records might be better than Ousmane

I was impressed when I watched him drop 18 and 15 against Seton Hall. That's the only time I saw him play.
But some other games. 17 against Syracuse. 10 against Virginia. 9 against Illinois.
Alex was much better on the defensive end as the season went on, but I thought it was embarrassing how we couldn't even throw it into the post the entire game because our frontcourt was so weak.
Once again, I would only want Foster because of the rumor that he and Adbou want to play together. I really want Abdou. He's a stud.
My point being Rhody 15 was that if foster wants to be on the same team as Abou enough maybe he is willing to ave reduced playing time . And if he is good enough to play here then what's the problem ? If he isn't good enough to play here he probably wouldn't be good enough to play anywhere Abou would want to go anyway .
Why does it feel like we are going to end up with Foster and not Ousmane? An undersized player that can’t shoot at all from the outside. I really hope we don’t get Foster. We could definitely use a small forward if they can shoot and he can’t
Agreed, but I would be surprised honestly if we get Ousmane either.
I don't actually believe there is a package deal here anyway. The way Rhody Vault wrote that up, with both Foster and Robinson all coming together, sounds like the sort of thing we have come to expect from him. I doubt the coaching staff is interested that much in those other two players. Although, I will say, Foster in this video, against some P5 schools even, is in a different stratosphere than either Weston or Hutchinson or even Martin were for us last year. It's just that he can't hit anything further than 12 feet out.

I don't think it feels like we are getting Foster (I don't suffer from chronic pessimism)
But I do feel just as strongly against 6'7 5 men (he's probably actually 6'6)
Hate relying on undersized bigs. You just end up falling into serious mismatches down the line.
Yep could also be confidence issues. I would still take him though.
Most definitely. He's also gotten better every year so no reason to think that would stop.
Him, Bilau, Brown and Foumena is a very solid group of bigs.
Would any of these be able to play the 4? Do any of them have a good mid range or 3 pt game? Or playing two of them at the same time will clog up everything inside and not work very well.
