LaSalle opens at -7. Not sure how we can stay that close.

I actually think we do.

Lasalle doesn't play defense. Could be a fun game.
Can't wait.

'cause the defense will be the defense, someone going to step up and make shots(can't believe I said that!)to keep us close. Free throws made, none in foul trouble, and some points from the paint folks......

As in most a-10 games, I think we keep it close. Can we actually shoot under 30% in two straight games?

For those attending the game, don’t forget to say hi to one of my all-time favorite Ram’s, Horace “Pappy” Owens, now in his ninth year as an assistant coach at La Salle. That man could sure control the floor.

Wow line dropped to URI +6 with 81% of public on La Salle. I'm confused??? Last game vs Xavier i played the line based on Vegas and got my ass whooped w Rhody cuz of terrible shooting, but if I'm reading vegas right this time its saying to take Rhody? ugh

URI is 2-4 this year when coming off a ten point loss. Also take into account the 3 of those 4 losses came in games 2 through 4 in the regular season. Hurley gets these guys ready to play after bad losses

Also, I will be in attendance today and URI is 3-0 in games I've attended at the RC this year. If nothing else URI will keep this game close. I'm taking URI +6 (not that I actually bet).

Might as well make this the in-game thread! Feel free to chat here: http://narragansett.patch.com/articles/ ... s-la-salle

It looks like Aaman might be starting in place of Hare. Not sure yet though, official lineups are a few minutes away.

They aren't doing their job by even mentioning that a STARTER hasn't gotten a minute yet. At least tell us that he's injured, in the doghouse, or they don't know why he hasn't got in yet. U cant just completely ignore that a starter hasn't got a minute in the game yet, when he's been sitting in the first chair on the bench all game suited up

welp, at the 13:30 mark into the 2nd half they mentioned that Hare hasn't gotten a minute yet. He MUST be in the doghouse in my opinion.

They finally mentioned it with 13:50 remaining in the 2nd half. But no reason or even speculation as to why. Pretty weak.

This is one of those things where if Baron was at the helm, the media would let him get away without explaining why a starter was suited up but didn't play a minute. Or he would just completely avoid the question. Interested to see if they ask Hurley, and what he has to say about it.

They would? Maybe things were different at the end of last year - I didn't catch the last couple games because of schedule conflicts with RIHS playoffs - but usually a decision of that magnitude was always questioned.

Not at all... 0-7 with 4 turnovers. This team has been terrible in the 2nd half all year. If they weren't so bad in the 2nd half they could be a .500 team

Defend the 3, it's that painted arc about 21ft from the basket.

That's what I feel like..... maybe it was just the fact that Baron couldn't actually answer questions without spitting out the usual garbage...

Galloway is like Dustin Hellenga out there, but better. He has absolutely no reservations about throwing it up from 25 if he's open.

My completely uneducated guess - I think Hare is out this game for injury reasons. He seems a bit gimpy on the bench, like walking around gingerly. Again though, a guess on my part.

I remember earlier in the year AJ Kemp was on crutches with a leg injury. No idea what his deal is, but I'm guessing he's still injured, I don't think he's suited up for a game this year yet.

I believe that's the situation, yes. I don't think he was expected to contribute though - he wasn't an Anthony Malhoit kind of talent, IIRC.

Free Throws, and very very poor games from both Malone and Powell.

Solid efforts by both Nik and Aaman.

Good effort against a very good LaSalle team, hope to see them make the tournament.

Nice effort today. Great game by aaman. I know I'm saying this after this game but whoever said earlier in the week aaman might have to look to play somewhere else is crazy. He can find a way to make an impact next year. We fought hard against a tough team, can't ask for much more from this team.
