THE EARLY LINE URI VS Delaware

Draft kings has the early line out for this game now as Delaware - 3.5 . Unless their is a dramatic change in the Rams play tomorrow , Delaware
should cover this spread rather easily . We will see if Archie Miller has been able to get through to his squad the need to play harder on defense and listen to the coaches . Defense and rebounding are a combination of technique and effort . both have been sorely lacking lately.

William Hill is showing Delaware -3 so I would lay the points in this situation. URI has been atrocious in road/neutral games under Archie (2-17) with the only wins being against an 11-21 Illinois State team and a 10-21 Loyola Chicago team. Until URI shows more consistency in road/neutral site games I can't bet them.

To me a lack of desire to play is way worse than a lack of talent.

Even when the offensive talent was lacking, we were in almost every game because we played tough hard nosed defense. 100% effort always. Anyone who witnessed a Hurley led practice could attest to that.

Now when we fall behind late in games, we quit.

It’s consistent at URI +3.5 I’m surprised too Reef that URI isn’t getting more than 3.5

But I wouldn’t bet for or against URI in this one

I like that Miller is now making lineup and minutes distribution changes.

If players didn’t listen or respond before then Miller is hitting them where it hurts with starting slots availability and playing time

Could be as Hurley did with some of his Freshmen, he inserted then into starting roles just prior to Conference play.

Wright showed high percentages in 3Ps and FTs at JC. He can shoot and maybe he shows that shooting and scoring proficiency in a game like today? And maybe he doesn’t but it will be fun to watch

Maybe Estevez shines again today, maybe he doesn’t but Archie showed confidence in Cam last game with career hi minutes.

Maybe Foumena gets tapped for more playing time today?

I like that Miller is experimenting with line up changes. Wake up call to starters and opportunity knocks for others.

URI could win this big, lose it big of be on a bail biter.
