So, 2 quad 3's, one quad 4, and one quad 2 left?

Needless to say, we want them to win out, but they need to win at least the next 3, and then Harvard at the Ryan should prove to be a similar game as the Princeton game, hopefully the same result. I'll intentionally pick up a shift at work or be otherwise predisposed for that one, just in case.

Based on their results, St John's seems pretty pedestrian on the road, but are significantly tougher at home. Rhody needs to steal that one. Just the two non conference road games left. Can't allow location to be the difference there, they need to play every game like that last game.

Princeton was ranked #25. How can they be quad 2?

It's based on their NET ranking, not their poll ranking

Needless to say, their only shot at NCAAT now is to win the A10T. It should be interesting.

This team is a constant work in progress. Constantly growing. Constantly learning. The two grad students are playing a lot better these days, more within themselves, they have learned how to work in the confines of this team. Toure is playing more like the Toure we remember from last year. Phillips is just unbelievable some games. Everything now, is what we had hope it would be at the beginning of the season.

That_being_said...

Maine
Quinnipiac
Providence
St John's

just daggers. All very winnable games, that they should have won. If they had won those last three, they would be an at large team right now. Instead, they just have to take each game, one at a time, and try to get a top-4 spot in the A10T.

And honestly, they are playing some tough upcoming teams, they need to concentrate on their next game. No sense dwelling on what could have been. Any team in this conference can take them to the wire like George Mason did and they won't always have the luxury of playing those games at home.

Davidson at the Ryan will be their first unofficial post season tournament game. See if they rise to the occasion.

Watching the second half of VCU at Davidson right now. Both of these are teams that URI can beat.

VCU was down 34-30 at the half, have now gone on a 9-0 run to make it 39-34. Davidson wants to slow the game down. If you go cold shooting, they pack it in with a zone. VCU have hit two big threes and they are running the floor, throwing Davidson off.

URI could do that as well. They can do what VCU is currently doing to Davidson, and they can also outdo VCU and do it to them, but they have to be sharp from the onset.

Back to Davidson. They have 5 girls from Australia, much like Portland did. And four of them start. Their game is high percentage shots around the basket, they luv to use the glass from just a couple of feet out.

VCU lacks an inside game, and that's what is allowing Davidson to close the gap again. VCU took the lead on the strength of defensive stops and three point shots.

George Mason was one of those tough teams, and we pulled it out. And we get all of the top teams at the Ryan Center from what I remember, plus a couple on the road
