It got mentioned briefly in another topic, but I figured it deserved its own thread, since the Projo did an article on him. Dave Stenhouse, 90, passed away this weekend.

One of only 5 players to have played at URI to make the Major Leagues, and certainly the one to have the best career while there.

He played for the Washington Senators that became the Texas Rangers, not the ones that became the Minnesota Twins

He was a great high school athlete at Westerly, not only in baseball but basketball as well.
