The Dayton loss makes the A-10 a multi bid league.

I wonder if that is a first in the A10T quarterfinals.

Parity in our conference, the tournament was up for grabs.

Top Seeds 1-4 all lost Thursday. Tough to play your 1st game when your opponent already has a win or two under their belt and experienced the arena.

VCU vs St Joseph’s

St Bonaventure vs Duquesne

Creighton is also incredibly soft. No depth, very good top 3 players, Ashworth is alright, then trash.

Kalkbrenner has to be the most overrated defender around as well.
Agree. Also a completely different team out of Omaha.

I don't know. Depends on what the committee values this year. Dayton's resume, tbh, isn't the strongest. Wouldn't be surprised if they were left out and a St. Johns/PC/Pitt/Ohio State gets in.

All Dayton's Q1/Q2 wins are at the bottom end of the quadrant. And they don't have any wins against the field (sans whoever wins the A10).

I'd be sweating if I was a Dayton fan AND two of the Pitt/PC/StJohns/Ohio State group win today.

Dayton just doesn't have as many quality wins as the bunch.

Dayton currently has an NET of #22, they are getting an at-large, just a question of seeding.

The A10 will get 2 teams in the NCAAT.

They're a fun team with a star player and an engaged fanbase?

They were kind of the talk of the offseason when in a historic, literally never seen before situation, the coach who grew up in the college's home town, built the program into a winner and national brand, left abruptly to go do a rebuild to a lesser program that's in the same conference...and then they played each other in their conference tournament.

Then, being a bubble team, they went and knocked off a top tier team as a significant underdog and probably punched their NCAA ticket. They're a nationally relevant program and they're fun to watch.

Talk about not throwing stones. PC as a basketball program is the example of what we should be hoping to follow. They have a dedicated fan base that shows up and gives money and gives them a home court advantage. A season ticket at PC costs like $1000-$3k a year. At URI it's like $200-500. They sell out their games and we have people bitching about $25 a month for NIL.

We are not the same. It's not even a rivalry any more as we've beaten them like 3 times in 14 years. It's embarrassing to see people have these takes because it's just blatant jealousy.

As much as I despise them, I am jealous. I knew they would beat Creighton. Did you see how hard they played and the enthusiasm they played with from the coach down. Devin Carter superstar plays harder than anyone on the court. No whining about every call . He just goes after it for 40 minutes. I want some of that. Did I say how much I despise PC.

Danny needs to be above that but it looks like the guy is still running his mouth. I'm sure he's some big booster so they are afraid to tell him to tone it down. It's one thing to heckle, but it can cross the line if extremely vulgar/aggressive/inappropriate in a public setting, etc. You've got to have some boundaries. That being said of course I have no idea what the fan is saying or doing. But I doubt Danny is instigating.

Regardless of the teams and coaches, those seats in a high level, high emotion game right behind the coaches is not a good thing. IMHO.

Nah. Danny is Danny. That's why his teams would run through walls for him. Just like when Danny was going to fight Ed Cooley at center court. Viva la Danny.
