Projected Massey standings after Saturday:

1. Delaware 8-0
2. Albany 7-1
3. Villanova 6-2 (higher Massey than Richmond)
4. Richmond 6-2
5. Elon 5-3 (1-0 vs 5-3 teams)
6. Rhode Island 5-3
7. William & Mary 5-3 (0-1 vs 5-3 teams)
8. Campbell 4-4 (beat Monmouth)
9. Monmouth 4-4
10. Towson 3-5 (beat New Hampshire)
11. New Hampshire 3-5
12. Maine 2-6 (projected to beat Hampton)
13. Hampton 2-6
14. North Carolina A&T 0-8 (higher Massey than Stony Brook)
15. Stony Brook 0-8

For any possible playoff chances we'd want to be no worse than 5th in the conference standings, but I don't think 5 CAA teams will get in this year.

The best results this week would be Elon losing at Delaware, William & Mary losing at Albany and Villanova losing at New Hampshire.

Elon is given a 19% chance of winning at Delaware with a projected final score of 27-17. William & Mary is given a 42% chance of winning at Albany with a projected final score of 24-21. Villanova is given a 54% chance of winning at New Hampshire with a projected final score of 31-28

If I had to guess, I'd say:

Albay finishes 7-1
Delaware finishes 7-1 or 6-2
Elon, I'm going to go with 6-2
Villanova, I'm going to go with 6-2
Richmond, I'm going to go with 6-2

That's your top-5.

#6 becomes dicey, with at least 2-3 teams tying for 5-3. I actually think with the way W&M is trending, they could end up 4-4

Rhody needs to take care of business and finish 5-3 and tie for 6th, regardless of what happens. We're not just playing for a playoff berth, we're playing to keep the winning seasons moving in a positive direction. They need to build a culture of winning that carries from year to year.

Elon is out if they lose another game. Confeerence record doesnt matter if you are 6-5.

So looking at only the teams with 4 losses and less:

1. Delaware 7-2 (5-1) - projected to win at Campbell and vs. Villanova - 9-2 (7-1) - higher Massey than Albany
2. Albany 7-3 (5-1) - projected to win at Stony Brook and vs Monmouth - 9-3 (7-1)
3. Villanova 7-2 (5-1) - projected to beat Towson and lose at Delaware - 8-3 (6-2) - already beat Elon
4. Richmond 6-3 (5-1) - projected to beat Elon and lose at William & Mary - 7-4 (6-2) - projected to beat Elon
5. Elon 5-4 (5-1) - projected to lose at Richmond and win vs Hampton - 6-5 (6-2) - lost to Villanova, projected to lose at Richmond
6. William & Mary 5-4 (3-3) - projected to win at Hampton and vs Richmond - 7-4 (5-3) - higher Massey than Rhode Island
7. Rhode Island 5-4 (3-3) - projected to win vs. NC A&T and at Towson - 7-4 (5-3)
8. Hampton 5-4 (3-3) - projected to lose vs William & Mary and at Elon - 5-6 (3-5)

Its so annoying how we just maintain a level where we are one win away for the better part of five years and programs like Albany will just completely turn it around every other year and make the playoffs.

I mean EVERY team that's been in the CAA since 2018 has made the playoffs at least once.

Maine, UNH, JMU, Stony Brook, W&M, Albany, Delaware, Elon, Richmond, Villanova and Towson.

I agree, it is annoying. But, Albany wasn’t as bad as their record indicated last year. They were 3-8 but 5 of those losses were by a combined 18 points. With a few bounces going their way they could have been 8-3. They’re getting those bounces to go in their favor this year. Something that never seems to happen to us
