Very unlucky for us that when they did their coin flip to determine immediate eligibility it landed on tails which means it got denied.

It’s not the Supreme Court but just a federal district court. Plus it’s an injunction that expires in 14 days. Also RI didn’t join the suit so it’s not clear if it affects URI. If I were Archie I wouldn’t play Green until after the 27th at the earliest.

Rhode Island didn't have to join the suit to reap its benefits. The situation is still pretty fluid, but at least as of now, the NCAA has said that those players can play in the next 14 days until the next hearing date. Any games played in those 14 days will not effect eligibility for next year.

How about current rules no sit first time, sit a year 2nd time with no waiver option or specifically spelled out cases only for waivers instead of throwing darts at a board. There has to be some kind of control or you can count us out as ever being relevant again.

The issue is not who gets the waiver this issue is the wavier.

Best case for URI is that Green plays because of the injunction, at some point the NCAA wins this case and the 2nd transfer rule is reinstated, the NCAA allows players who started playing because of the injunction to continue for this season then next season revert back to the old system.

In the long run, I don’t think eliminating the second transfer rules will help URI or schools like us, and overall it will make an already dizzying sport to follow even more so. But no doubt having Green for this year would help immensely.

Miller just said in his media event that David Green was working out on his own since his Waiver was denied by the NCAA a couple of weeks ago.
This court decree just came out of nowhere - Miller was clearly not expecting it.

Putting Green right into the starting line up would seem like a very, very long shot. Not even sure Green himself would want that to happen with his teammates.

I'd expect he has already started back practicing with the team, he will likely make the trip to Holiday Hoopfest vs Delaware and probably even suit up and go through warm ups knowing the recent announcement by the NCAA 2 hours ago.

How about Keylan Boone UNLV . He played 31 mins 10 point 6 reb and UNLV beat # 10 Creighton. David Green should have been with the team if not I do not know who is responsible for that

He talks about Green from around the 3:30 mark til around the 6:00 mark. Mentions the knee and says he won't play Saturday, although doesn't say the reason is the knee. Other reasons too, but I took it as the knee being part of it.

I also recall Archie calling him the most talented player overall on the team. Maybe not at that media event but sometime this fall. If he’s ready to go by conference play we’ll be a different team.
