KINGSTON, R.I. - The Rhode Island football team will cap off Spring Ball with a Blue-White Game on Saturday, April 15 at Meade Stadium.

This year's Blue-White game will feature a new format. The defense will begin the contest with a 24-0 lead, and the offense will have to come from behind to win. Scoring will be in the traditional form.

The game itself will be four 10-minute quarters. The offense will begin the opening drive at its own 35-yard line. After each defense stop, the ball will be moved back about 45 yards, and the sides will switch ends to begin the ensuing possession.

The team will take the field at Meade Stadium for warmup at 10 a.m., with the Blue-White game beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Rhode Island Football hosts their annual Blue vs White scrimmage on John Priore Field at Meade Stadium tomorrow at 10 am! I thought Kahtero Summers was out of eligibility. Anyway, he looked really good. He might be our best offensive player. Erby looked really good too. Kasim Hill and Westley Neal didn't play. Both QBs , Bonner-Steward and Nored, had some nice throws, although the pass defense left a lot of the receivers wide open. At least 6 RBs played and split time. None of them stood out, although there were a few nice runs. The kicker Shank (bad name for a kicker!) has a nice leg, was hitting from 50 in warmups. That's all I got!

Good point on Burkhalter. Dont think they planned on Hill getting the extra year.

My friend told me the east stands were closed and there seemed to be work being done around them. Apparently they are adding stairs so they can reopen the top of the East stands
