Stefon Wheeler to Yale? Seems like a big loss.

I mean, can't complain about last year. Marshall went 9-4 and beat Notre Dame, 2nd week of the season in South Bend, IN. Amongst a ton of familiar faces that they also beat.

Wasn't he our big connection to Florida? If so, yes it's a big loss

GoRhody lists his recruiting area as "New Jersey". That doesn't mean what you are saying isn't correct, just putting out there as to what his official bio says. Mike Flanagan has central Florida, while Troy Gilmer has North Florida. I was under the impression that our wide receivers coach who has since relocated to Miami was our South Florida connection.

Side note- pretty cool to see Jake Fire listed as a coach. Well deserved!

Feels like losing the DC after spring practice and the defensive backs coach when that area probably needs the most work after graduation/transfers could be a big issue

Big loss for Rhody. The players loved him. Great to see him climb the ladder.

Huge loss, OL definitely seemed to love and respect him. He made those guys better. We seemed to lose an OL almost every year due to his developing his kids. Yale maybe a ladder climb in pay but not in football!!

Yale and Harvard pay almost twice as much as Rhody for FB coaches.
Agree on the football aspect. A shame.

I pay minimal attention to URI Football but I have to give Fleming a ton of credit. He has really elevated the talent level both on and off the field. We lost an OL to Oregon, CB to Notre Dame, we’re producing fringe NFL players despite atrocious facilities. Losing coaches to much more serious football programs. URI Football will always have its limitations but Fleming is maximizing what he’s got.

Yep, none of those 'bad things' happen if you're not getting better and better. Kudos to the FlemDog.

I agree. He needs some help with game management, though. I still can’t get that 2018 game versus Maine out of my head.

"I was referring to Cooper going to Wisconsin"
Avg. salary for B10 FB asst. is $495K a year.
If Cooper is getting $225K say @ UW ,he was probably getting $75K at Rhody?
Nobody has Harvard and Yales $$ and very few schools have UW's. Rhody's budget is 1/2 Delaware's?
