We haven't had a reliable wing/SF type in a while. I always thought Tyrese Martin and Jacob Toppin had that potential but we didn't have them here long enough. Even during our glory years with Hurley we had undersized bigs (That played BIG) like Hassan or lanky 4/5s that played more of a stretch role like Kuran.

We've struggled to guard the 6'5-6'8 Tyler Burtons of the world. Would love a swiss army knife SF to bridge the gap from our guards to our bigs.

Lafayette was 6th seed in their Patriot league Tournament

A couple upsets then lost to Colgate in Championship

Rivera made the All Tournament team as only a Freshman

Good to see Miller getting him on campus.

And let's get Keegan Records from South Kingston too who Rivera played against in the Championship

In the Patriot League Championship Game:
Rivera led Lafayette with 13p, 8r, 5a, 0to
Records led Colgate with 21p, 6r, 3a, 1to, 5 blocks
Records went 9-10 FG

Lafayette has offically parted ways with Mike Jordan and named Mike McGarvey as its head basketball coach, per release. McGarvey served as acting head coach this season.

Would LOVE to land this kid. Exactly the type of profile/archetype that has potential to blow up in his 2nd/3rd years. High major athleticism.
Watched him a couple of times. Pair him with a playmaker at PG and look out on the fast break. Would love love love to see this kid come to Rhody.

Him, Pride and the kid from Merrimack would be my top 3. Grab a PG and let's gooooo.

We likely aren’t getting Battle IMO. Nor do I think any 1 player is going to make or break next year. It’s the sum of the parts given how much we need so we all should wait until the full roster has been assembled to make any judgment. We need a player like Battle (a bucket getter) but there are more than him out there that fit the bill.
