I know RIC baseball is somewhat of a DIII powerhouse, but you’re absolutely correct. That’s embarrassing for URI.

Most all of RIC's athletic facilities are pretty nice by D3 standards. I do not begrudge them that. The problem is that many of URI's athletic facilities (such as baseball, football, softball, track & field, tennis) are sub standard for D1 and in many cases below that of of D2 and D3.
