Here at Bryant University for Pro-Day. The following players are working out for scouts today:
Bryant
Ryan Saddler LB
David Zorrilla WR
URI
Marques Deshields RB
O’Neil Robinson DB
Caleb Warren TE
Jordan Jones CB
Dave Schaum-Bartocci P
Ed Lee WR
Henry Yianakopolos $/LB
For context:
40 time would have been 19th
Broad jump would have been tied for 9th
Vertical would have been tied for 14
20 yard shuttle would have been tied for 2nd
3 cone would have been 2nd
Bench would have been tied for 14
There were a different amount of players testing for each thing, so it's hard to get a baseline, but that 3 cone sure looks good!
Warren and Jones should have a good chance.?? Far better players have tried from Rhody over time and not made it.
Warren and Jones were below average players in CAA last season. So were Bartucci & Robinson.
And now they are going to the NFL? I hope its Buffalo or NYJ.

The CAA has had at least one player drafted in 16 of the past 17 seasons, however it is certainly long odds. I would imagine our guys are auditioning for other leagues in these pro days just as much as trying to get on somewhere as a UDFA. Between the arena league, USFL, XFL etc I would think one or more may get paid to play somewhere next year...

I don't understand your deal against Jordan Jones, but he was named CAA first team corner after the season, so the head coaches in the league don't agree with you

I'm confused about your vendetta against the guys participating in a pro day?
Is Flem/coaching staff suppose to say no you can't participate? I would imagine they are pretty up front to these guys about their opportunities at the next level. But nothing wrong with allowing them to pursue all avenues available to them.
If Bartocci works every day from November until March, and then comes out and shanks all his kicks, what is the harm in that? That's on him... But if he puts in work every day from the end of the season until now and shows something at pro day, that's great. Maybe it ends up with him sticking with a minor league team and working his way up from there.
Or we could just continue to be negative on a message board. Whatever works for you...
I hope they all get an opportunity to earn a roster spot on the 53 or at least on the Practice Squad. If they get in the right situation, they have a chance.
