Who’s going?

Current standings and 5 remaining teams to play:

They absolutely needed that game against Elon.

Four out of the five remaining: very challenging games.

They need to play more like they did in the second half of this past game, and less like they have been starting games this year. Too often, they start these games sloppy like they are still in the preseason, working the kinks out, trying to see what works.

After halftime they look at lot more cohesive, with a real plan, fewer penalties, they play smarter and more efficiently, with more focus, but they need to start the games like that now. We're past the half way point of the season.

We've gone from tied for 25th to 22nd in the Stats poll and 22nd to 19th in the Coaches poll

More movement at the second and third wide receiver position this week. Jig Williams is no longer listed at either spot. Darius Savedge has gone from backup at two to number one at three. Jamall Mensah has gone from number three at three to backup at two. John Erby has gone from number 1 at three to number 2 at three

• Monmouth's Jaden Shirden leads the league with 1,103 rushing yards and is second with seven touchdowns on the ground. Rhody's Marques DeShields is sixth with 503 rushing yards and third with six rushing touchdowns.

• DeShields has 318 yards and four touchdowns on the ground over his last three contests.

Marques Deshields 129 yards rushing on 16 carries for 8.1 yards per carry. Not a bad days work - and that is just at Halftime!!

all of these games will be dogfights from here on out. Last week, Monmouth and Maine had a dogfight at Orono. Now today. When URI plays Maine it will be a dogfight, etc. It's really transcendent of records at this point.

I think URI actually started out fairly strong today, if they didn't, they would have been well behind at the half. Now they have to do what they typically do, which is come out of halftime even stronger and more focused throughout the 2nd half.

DeShields 147 yards rushing, 1 rushing TD, 1 receiving TD thus far

URI defensive stand in the redzone for the 2nd time, forces second FG after 1st and 10 for Monmouth at the URI 10 yard line.

URI defensive in bend don't break mode, due for an opportunistic play this half.

Hill had second interception for the day. Turnover in Monmouth territory.

URI defense has what looks to be a huge 3-and-out stop, but penalties instead help Monmouth along all the way back into the redzone.

URI holds in the redzone and forces yet another FG, which Bernstein of Monmouth shanks.

URI maintains a one point lead and has the ball back close to their 20 yard line.

Quickly advances the ball into Monmouth territory, mostly on a 51 yard completion from Hill to Savedge. Now a key 27 yard 3rd down completion to the Monmouth 8.

Hill 3rd interception in the endzone, touchback for Monmouth.

Penalties and turnovers are haunting us. Need the defense to come up with another stop here.

Monmouth goes for it... get's a first down at midfield.

So basically, expect Monmouth to go for it almost every time, no matter where they are on the field.

URI not able to make any stops when needed and can’t punch it in when on the goal line. Championship caliber teams find a way to do these things, we just always seem to fall short.

Probably the biggest stat of the game is the 3 interceptions bu Hill. And not just interceptions but one in the end zone with all the time in the world to do something and the lead.

Monmouth converted those 3 turnovers to 10 points

And with that statement, URI ties the game on a throw by Hill

URI has over 500 yards of offense and still could lose the game.

According the ESPN this game is in a 7th overtime but nothing that is happening in the game cast on the app makes any sense.
