Great question. The center RI seems to be the same.

They ship it out to get stripped and rebranded. I think the court is only 5-6 years old. A brand new court is almost 100k

Dark blue with Keaney blue lettering, numbers and trim would be pretty sharp. Also, no cumber bun.

I like the other floor a bit better, though not significantly. I think the different shading inside the 3 point arc - was a nice touch.

If the floor is going to be updated, I would have liked an image or a shading of the state imbedded somehow, like UMass does.

This has been an ongoing issue for me, I really think we need to use state imagery more as part of our brand to enforce that we're the state flagship

It's actually not legal for us to do that. They own the rights to having a blue field.

I'm also going to go on record that i do not like the new court.

Aside from the logo it's freaking Penn States color scheme. Doesn't even match really because there's keaney in the logo. Hate it.

We've never done that for basketball. It's usually navy with keaney letters. In 2015-16 we had them with white letters but with a keaney accent on the numbers and they were terrible.

I cannot wait for this season!! I think the reason that the floor doesn't feature as much Keaney Blue is that it's "technically" not an official school color. It's used solely in Athletics.

Chiming in late. Love it or not, it's great to have a new court for this new beginning for the program. Just another piece to add to the excitement. I like the traditional look. Some of the newer gimmicky court designs out there, are awful in my opinion. This is a nice upgrade!

That could still easily be added after the fact. It's usually something thats just added to the court and wouldn't require it to be part of the refinishing or anything like that. I have no idea if it will be, but it's an easy add if needed.

Everything looks a little brighter when looking at the new court as compared to the rendering, even the Keaney Blue in the RI logo at center court. Could just be lighting/difference in materials though. Also I noticed in the rendering that South Coast Health was still on the court, so I'd expect that to be added later. I can't tell if they added Keaney to the letters or if that's a trick our eyes are seeing because of the outline they used, I'm thinking it's the latter
