He was an unranked recruit out of high school and now he is going to be starting for URI.

so....he was nothing, now he's something? or, was he something, now he's nothing? Too confusing. Either needs a new tagline, or it's perfect. One or the other.

He was a consensus 3* (rivals,247) offered by Florida, Miss, OK State, and a bunch of A10 schools.
Was a top 30 PG nationally and #2 in Va, out of HS.

He sure was when he chose GW it was a major coup for Christian given the other offers he had.

First, I think it is supposed to read "Bro IS living proof" and "In" is a typo.

Second, translation: moving up the ladder, or words to that affect.

Third, I would be cautious about reading these kids social media accounts. I don't think they are cryptic messages meant for adult fans like some here seem to think. They are just the emotions they are relating to their personal buddies at a particular point in time.

for instance, I saw on the Sean Durugordon thread there was a suggestion like "He's playing games" "He's toying with us"

I don't think he's toying with us. I don't think the messages are meant for us, and I do think he likely has a dozen coaches calling him twice a day begging for him to come play for them. The only time I found myself reading into anything on that thread was when the father said something like "my son can make any team better" meaning like Kentucky or Kansas or anyone. And, you know, I'm a father too, if my kid was an elite athlete I'd probably say the same thing. I was just wondering who that was addressed to, is all.

Something into nothing does not sound like moving up the ladder, or even that cool of a goal

Just as "In" was a typo, I'm pretty sure he meant "Nothing into Something". Why would the guy write up a post to intentionally insult his friend? Is that a common thing? Do you often see people on social media saying to their peers "Hey, bud, you just messed up big time. Poor life choices, man. Good luck"

No, because if you did that on social media, no one would follow you.

Again, though. Adults reading social media posts like they just opened up the Bible to the Book of John.

Not being on social media, I'm glad I'm not. Sounds like a bunch of narcissistic people.

He was ranked #198 in the 247 Composite ranking when he committed to GW.
Many of these kids carry the “no respect I will show them” chip on their shoulder to use as motivation.
I would take his comment in the Tweet as nothing more than that.

Pretty sure I'd do better with John.

So, the whole thing is basically a typo. Makes sense.

Brayon Freeman
G | So.
6-2 | 180
Washington, D.C. | George Washington
An Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team selection for George Washington in 2021-22, Freeman averaged 10.3 points, 3.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game for the Colonials. A highly efficient shooter, he shot 43.3 percent from the floor, including 43.6 percent from beyond the arc. A quality distributor as well, Freeman was the first George Washington freshman in 18 seasons to record more than 100 assists while also ranking second among the league's rookies in assist-to-turnover ratio. He arrives with three seasons of eligibility.

Archie Miller on Brayon Freeman
"Brayon is a proven guard in our league who adds value in multiple ways for us. He is a skilled offensive player who can distribute the ball and make people around him better. At the same time, he has a unique way of adding a scoring punch. He was able to shoot 40 percent from 3-point range as a freshman. His combination of skills is going to fit well in multiple personnel combinations on the floor."

It just crystallizes how great EC was and wo the injury could have challenged to be one of the greatest. He was not overmatched by Duke’s great team that got us in 2018.

Enjoyed the interview. Thanks for posting, Stevey.

I like that Brayon said that the guys are going 100% because it takes more than talent to win. You also need effort, discipline and smart play. Sounds like Archie has the team moving in the right direction. Can’t wait to watch them play a game.

Scott,
I finally got around to watching Episode 23. Great interview. Looking forward to seeing Freeman lead this team this season. Like how you interject statistics from his last season into the discussion. He wants to take more 3 point shots and increase his statistics. Love the replay where he steals the ball and delivers a crisp, accurate fast beak pass while sitting on the floor.
Thanks

Ramster you are the best. Thanks for your support. I found it interesting why his 3 pt percentage was so high. He didn’t take many of them. And his assist to turnover ratio is a little high. Looking forward to having Justin Mazzula on in August. A local guy that is on an upward trajectory.
