Got this today, further deets TBA:

"Save the date for this exclusive event for all Full Season Ticket Holders. Each ticket account holder will be allowed to invite as many guests as they have season tickets for. For example, if you have four (4) season tickets you may bring 4 people including yourself to this event.

Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the coaches and players from the football and men's and women's basketball teams, tour the facilities, and much more!

Enjoy complimentary appetizers and drinks brought to you by Pizza Gourmet, Del's Lemonade, Coca-Cola, Shaidzon Beer Company, and Haxton Liquors. Additional beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Additional information and registration information for the event will be sent out via email in the next several weeks."

I believe it's for everybody - it did come from a non-URI email address though (their ticket processor I think) so I'd check the old Spam folder.

Wow...talk about perks...now, we get discounted tix to see Shaun White. So, if you paid me $100...I probably not go. However, if you told me they were going to set me up with a personal live stream to watch it at my house, and they offered to pay me $50...I still wouldn't watch. But...at least they're thinking of us.

They need to hook up with places where I buy stuff and offer discounts there...seems they could even raise some cash that way.

Shaun White is one of the best extreme sport athletes of all time.

However, why the hell would anyone want to to hear him speak?

Man, I would be in but that was my downfall playing basketball. I was great on defense, but I couldn't get the ball in the basket to save my life.

Great time tonight!!. Saw many folks I haven't seen in years. Ramulous, Blueman, RhodyRudder, NYGFan_Section208, urirx, SteveyStuds(new intro). Talked to Coach Miller and said it was nice we don't have to worry about kicking his arse anymore. He's moving to Gansett he said. Talked to Tammi and congratulated her on a great season and thanked her for opening my eyes to women's basketball. Saw Thorr and asked if he would come to another basketball tailgate. He was all in!!!. Talked to Abdou and Parnell for awhile. Great kids!!!!. I showed P where I sit and he said he will be looking for me. Told him I can't wait to see him on the court. Overall, I was just glad to be back in the Ryan Center.

I went 1 for 2 tonight.

Air ball and then I think I might have nicked some rim. A friend of mine went 0-6 with two airballs. Ugly there, but otherwise an awesome time. Free beers, good food (gorgonzola gravy? Seriously?).…great time...

ETA:. Talked to a couple football players. Seemed like really good dudes, wishing them well.

Got to meet Archie, Duane and Kenny. All seem like great guys. Kenny is especially likable. Archie said we're going to play defense and run. We're going to have to play 'muddy' until we get some shooters here, although during Steve's interview, Archie said Jalen's shot improved a lot during the 6 weeks they worked out. When we were talking to Duane, his phone rang and he said,'excuse me for a second, I have to take this'. It was a recruit, but he couldn't say who. He said,' I'll see you at Kennedy', so I assume he's flying back with him here for a visit? Just a guess. Couldn't hear the name, but it sounded like Elroy. Got to talk to Don Kaull a little. That was cool, haven't talked to him in about 3 years. Didn't get to talk to Tammi, but she is very impressive. Hope she's here for a long time. And I hit my free throw, can still shoot it at 65, LOL.

Kenny is a great recruiter.

Kenny seems like a coach that players will love. Great personality. Duane also said that Brian is excited to come back and see some games this year.

Had to leave early so missed most of the coach interviews. But I did catch one gem from Archie. Steve McDonald asked all 3 coaches for their favorite movie. Coach Fleming said Star Wars. Tammi said Rocky. Archie hems and haws. Steve presses him and Archie finally says:

"Well, it's definitely not Hoosiers."
