Walker did not bolt before a new coach was named.

He entered the portal before the new coach was named. There's a difference. Malik also entered the portal before Archie was hired.

We have zero clue what the conversation was between Archie and Walker, which may or may not have swayed Walker to leave.

Things have been surprising quiet on the Lander front as best I can tell, but there was this blurb at the end of Bill Koch's article on Brayon Freeman's commitment:

"The Rams have reportedly been in contact with Pittsburgh transfer shooting guard Femi Odukale, Missouri transfer wing Sean Durugordon, Connecticut transfer point guard Rahsool Diggins and Indiana transfer point guard Khristian Lander."

As best I can tell that's the only official media report I've seen linking us with him and I haven't seen anything about him being linked to other schools, though there was a rumor he was looking at Evansville
