Damn I hope not. Would be a big loss. But I have to ask what is the connection with Nate Oats and Kenny Johnson. And as much as I think KJ got a raw deal from the NCAA, can Oats really afford to take a guy that has that show cause or whatever the hell it is on his record with all the stuff that went down at Alabama this year. But this is the second guy that floated his name. That would suck, not even win ten games, lose half your team to the portal and the AC gets poached. Let's hope that it does not happen.

KJ has one year left on his show-cause.
Typically, no school will hire a new coach under those circumstances and put themselves at risk especially with Alabama's current situation.
Rhody's case was different because he was already employed here.

I just read that as of July 1 the NCAA has voted to allow expansion from three assistant coaches to five assistant coaches. Is anyone else aware of this? We will be adding any assistant coaches?

The Council supported an increase of two coaches in men's and women's basketball. These additional coaches may engage in coaching activities but may not recruit off campus. I think it’s fair to say we have no idea how Archie views the roles and responsibilities of his staff.

In the same breath it’s clear Austin hasn’t done much if anything at all on the recruiting front. Maybe that’s somewhat by design? You have a top notch recruiter in KJ, have Austin take more of his other day to day responsibilities so he can focus on that

He never played college basketball. He was working in Charlie Baker's office (Former Governor of Massachusetts - now head of the NCAA). Valentine was taking complaints about potholes, etc in his position.
