I will be excited if we are able to land him.
Now I do think he lacks quickness. Like when he's trying to get a shot off it seems like it takes a little too long to get his shot off.

If anyone knows how good of a team is Brown & Tracey’s JUCO team they play on? We can easily beat Mark Schmidt for these two much more playing time to offer but at the same time I agree with BAR Schmidt probs has the best talent evaluation out of all the coaches in the league

Actually Florida Southwestern was preseason ranked #2 in the NJCAA National Rankings.
They play a difficult achedule and are a disappointing 19-8.

Garden City where Buru plays is 20-7 and ranked in the top 25.

78, I can recall Miranda off the top of my head. That’s it for me. I can’t recall any others at this time.

I was hoping for some '24s. Get them here, get a verbal, then they sign in November. I'm surprised we haven't heard more about 24s yet.

There’s a ‘25 who made an unofficial back about 3-4 months ago - Tai Turnage, PG prospect.

‘24 Jaiden Glover made an unofficial visit about 5 months ago. According to his thread, he was in the process of arranging an official visit. However, I don’t know if he did.

‘24 Garret Sundra made an unofficial back in August.

That’s all I could find so far. All unofficial visits only.

78, I just bumped the ‘24 & ‘25 offer threads from page 2. I think a few of the 24’s may be DC recruits, however.

I haven’t looked up any of the 24’s or 25’s for an updates on other offers, visits, etc.

Really under-the-radar kid.
Surprised with all the Div. 1 schools in Texas (25) not one has offered.

His team is 13-20, and worse, 2-14 in District (division) play. This is not an underscouted region in any way, shape or form - There were 78 signees across various sports this spring, across the district. In the one year I covered HS hoops, I saw two D-I prospects just on one team (LJ Cryer and Eddie Lampkin. I suspect he puts up gaudy numbers because he's his team's #1 option, but for whatever reason, isn't a D-I prospect.

Yea, let’s post a 20 second TikTok highlight video saying Archie should look at him.

People really just see literally any highlight video and think a kid is great these days huh?

If we want to land talented players then we will have to out recruit P6s for them...nothing to be scared of. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

I like weird arena and stadium stuff, like Boise State's blue turf, and the programs that play on those Martian-looking red surfaces. But Oregon's court reminds me of a decaying book or a tacky animal skin rug every time I see it more than a forest.

On a level playing field (not that it ever was), I'd like our chances. I just think that NIL has made it even tougher for non P6s when recruiting the same kid.

Soph. transfer big Ta'Quan Woodley from South Carolina left school just prior to the season for personal reasons.
Soph. (F)Justin Njock-Tadjore left Nov.11 also for personal reasons and entered the portal.

That left 2 openings and they currently have no recruits committed for 2023.

I hear ya, 78. Not your post but the P5,6 tipping of the scales really gets my balls in a bunch, as I posted in another thread. And, I know I sound like a broken record when I post point that we, as a program, have to adapt and overcome - with or without the A10 joining along as a whole (though the conference not joining along as a whole makes it even more difficult).

I have hope that we will more than before based on the positive steps the program has taken the past few years with a new coach with a track record of success, coaching pay scale, charters, new practice facility. Still, the battle rages on.

I will leave it there for now as I don’t want to waste this thread getting off track.

I promise to boost your spirits, just remember to do the same for me when the time comes. Go Rhody!

If you like weird stadiums try and catch an Eastern Michigan football game at night on TV. The field is gray so it’s like you’re watching the game in black and white but the uniforms are color.

Agreed but I think having Rory & Fou will help

For the other recruits I’ll have to check on rivals, the only one who’s sticking out as a really good one is Tyler Betsy, but 247 haven’t updated their rankings

Richie is on schedule to graduate this Spring, and he participated in Senior Night. He loved being at UConn and stayed, despite not really earning any minutes. He is a wonderful young man and exactly the type of person you want representing your school and program. If he wants it, I would love to see him get on the court somewhere.

Well of course, this is pretty obvious of Jeff Borzello.
The top 100 recruits are mostly going to P6 schools and as freshman not getting huge minutes or making a major impact.
The top 100 transfers will mostly be proven seasoned players and yeah will be more of an immediate impact.

With the NCAA toughening the waiver rules on multi-transfer players maybe the activity in the portal will slow down.

Still the coaches need to fill rosters and the deserving HS/prep players will get offers.
Only a couple of the top 100 players have not already committed or signed during the early period in November.
