The University of Rhode Island head into the A10 Tournament as the #11 seed & will take on the lowly Duquesne Dukes. The Rams have a 0.8% chance of winning the A10 tournament, so anything is possible. Well, besides that. URI has lost 11 of their last 13 & Duquesne fans wish they could attain the feeling of winning multiple wins. Duquesne has lost an eye popping 16 games in a row, including a doble digit loss at the Ryan Center. Duquesne almost won their second conference game of the season last week but ended up faltering in triple overtime at George Washington. Duquesne will yet again be without their second leading scorer, center Tre Williams, with a meniscus injury. Leading scorer freshman guard Amir Spears has closed out the season on a tear by averaging 30 points in his last 2 games. With how bad Rhody has played this season, I think URI wins this first round game. EA had a great game the last two times these teams played each other so hopefully we see more of the same Wednesday afternoon. URI should be favored by about 8.5 & I think URI’s season last’s one more game. My prediction, URI 66 – Duquesne 59. Winner of this matchup takes on Richmond at 8:30 on Thursday night. Go Rhody!!

From a karma standpoint, I'd say the chances are pretty good - Everyone here wants Cox gone, so why wouldn't the season drag out longer? But after a 20-point loss to VCU on Feb. 18, Richmond has been competitive at least. They lost to Dayton by 2 and the Bonnies by 7 to close out the season, but before that beat St. Louis by 2 and G.W. by 13. While the season has been disappointing for them, they haven't checked out in the same way as some of the recent URI games.

Then get to the Quarterfinals with 2 wins and some momentum.

There are no teams we can’t beat. There are no teams who can’t beat us either as is pretty clear.

Spreading minutes across 9 players enables playing 5 games in 5 days more feasible. I hate playing 9 guys, but it now could work to some benefit.

Will be interesting to see the starting line up Wednesday.
