After a loss at home against Dayton, the University of Rhode Island head on the road to Washington, DC to take on the George Washington Colonials. The Rams look to avenge an utterly pathetic home loss they had to the Colonials last month, which kicked off the death spiral of this season. Up 18-3 a quarter of the way through the game & then the bottom fell out after shooting an abysmal 2 for 19 from deep. Things will be even tougher for Rhody as the Colonials have Ricky Lindo Jr back after missing the first contest. The Colonials are coming off an almost 20-point road win at Duquesne in which they held the Dukes to under 28% from the field & a shocking 1 for 21 from deep. I know Duquesne stinks, but wow. The Colonials have 2 players in double digits, James Bishop with 17.3 & Joe Bamisile with 14.8. Which Rhode Island team will show up in DC, the one like in the home game against Davidson or will it be like the last time Rhody played George Washington? Forward Hunter Dean had his way the last time these two teams played, going for 15 & 11. To put that into perspective, in 2 of his 4 games following the Rhody game he went scoreless in 2 of them even though he played 34+ minutes in both. Even though it is a road game for the Rams, I think they will be favored by 2 points. Sadly, I will be taking the home underdog over the Rams. Colonials 64 – Rhody 61. Go Rhody!!

Yes, it is very difficult to pick us to win this game.
They beat us at home where we came off an ugly last second victory over LaSalle, then went on a terrible skid.
We have lost 7 of our last 8 games, so it is hard to predict us to win, especially on the road.

GW has the size to match up against our bigs, especially with Lindo back for them.
Their guards are much better scoring threats than what ours have shown.
So yeah, I don't have much confidence in our team right now.

I was looking at the players perspective on this.

I think winning some games prior to going into the A10T will help give them some confidence.

True, I also think that Cox telling the guys to have fun, enjoy the season, enjoy the games is aimed to try to take some pressure off the guys as in the game when Makhi his 2-12 FTs and others shot poorly from the line too. I know Cox has been criticized for the "have fun" approach but sometimes coaches go down that road to help the guys relax.

This team has clearly stopped playing for this coach, its time to end the season and move forward. Its extremely sad to see the depths we have sunk to. GW is getting any look they want against us and we've already given up 6 3's this half. We run no semblance of an offense and continue to look just completely unorganized on both ends of the floor.
