Noticed something very strange watching Texas-Oklahoma last night...

I was flipping around last night and landed on the Texas-Oklahoma men's bball game. It was at Oklahoma.

Every possession, for both teams, the arena announcer counted down the shot clock. He would say "20", then "15", then count down the entire 10-0 final seconds. Over the PA. I thought I was hearing things, but it happened.

I've never heard this before, it was super annoying! Anyone else notice this, or witness it anywhere else?
