Guess I did, but only in the aspect of trying to get replacement games proactively.
Only the A10 matters for an Automatic bid so whether we win or lose OOC games doesn’t matter to a bid but the games do matter for being game shape ready for Dayton and LaSalle.

Need a good seed and win the A10.

Plus hate to see these players who are not testing positively have to sit out Dec 13 to Dec 30 - a very long time due to Charleston and Brown cancellations.

Makes sense to play games. Is in advance if A10 to prepare but once the A10 starts then there is not much, if any, advantage. Conference Games are spread out by design. Adding games could result in fatigue and/or injury when sprinkled among conference games.

Yup… I was planning on going to the Brown game with a friend of mine who played for Brown…He texted me Sunday that he was told the game will be canceled or rescheduled….Not a chance the ticket office wasn’t aware that this was going to happen.

The cancellation of this game creates a scheduling issue for next season and beyond. URI typically plays plays PC and Brown EVERY year. It usually plays one in Providence and the other in Kingston. The series with the two schools however would dictate URI would play both in Kingston next year and both in Providence the following year with this pattern repeating. This is not the set up URI wants. Look for some rearranging in the future. Given PC is not very flexible when it comes to URI, look for something to change on the Brown series.

Brown played their makeup game (for URI cancellation) at Syracuse last night. The Bears (now 8-7) got smoked 93-62 by the Orange (7-5) but picked up a big check for the guarantee game.
